[Ann Takamaki Cosplay] Persona 5 PVC Red Bodysuit Fitting Sharing

Here's a brief sharing of the fitting results for Ann Takamaki's red PVC bodysuit outfit.

First off, in the first picture, I'm wearing a size L from Dimension Radio. I was honestly quite shocked when I first put it on—the high gloss of the PVC material directly maxed out the visual impact under indoor overhead light. The glossy red has high color saturation, and the fabric has a certain thickness and firmness rather than sagging like ordinary bodysuits, which supports the character's silhouette very well. The main zipper at the chest features a thick silver metal ring; the hardware texture feels very heavy and substantial. Unzipping the collar to a suitable position naturally creates a V-neckline, displaying both collarbone and neck lines. Paired with the silver cross necklace around the neck and that specially customized long pink glove on the left hand, the overall look's recognizability pops out immediately.

The zipper design on this garment is also very clever; not only on the front, but asymmetric zipper decorations are also placed along the shoulder lines, creating a visual slimming effect. After posting to my feed, it indeed received the most attention and feedback, which might be the bonus brought by the design sense of the outfit itself.

The second picture shows the result after switching to size M. Since I have a 160 cm, 50 kg body type with a small frame and a pear-shaped body with relatively fleshy hips and thighs, putting on size M made the waist, abdomen, and hip areas noticeably much tighter. Although size M fit better in sleeve and leg length, it completely squeezed out the outline of the pear-shaped body, leaving less room for movement and ease compared to size L. Therefore, when choosing such a structured PVC bodysuit, size really shouldn't be picked based solely on height and weight—sufficient allowance for hip circumference and width must be kept, otherwise the line dynamics of the whole Cosplay outfit will be severely compromised.

This set of photos is basically straight out of the camera, without any post-processing to stretch legs or nip in the waist. It's not that I don't care about displaying my figure, but rather because there are wooden storage racks and cabinets in the background; if I liquidated body proportions, the cabinet lines behind would surely warp or distort. Rather than distorting the background into weird shapes just to chase a tiny waist and long legs, I feel that keeping the real wearing state and letting everyone see the natural highlights and creases generated by the PVC fabric is actually far more convincing.

I also have a small piece of experience to share with fellow cosplayers regarding putting on and taking off such clothes. PVC material easily sticks to skin after sweating, so applying a bit of baby powder or wearing base tights before trying it on makes zipping up much smoother. However, this outfit is indeed not very suitable for sitting for long periods—sitting down creates very obvious creases at knees and hips, and every movement is accompanied by a little sound of PVC friction. Yet this structured reflective material produces gorgeous shoulder and chest highlights under natural light or standard white ceiling lamps, naturally sculpting three-dimensional body depth without needing complex lighting setups; straight smartphone camera shots already give plenty of atmosphere.

To summarize in the end, for a small-framed, pear-shaped body type like mine, choosing a slightly larger size L for Ann Takamaki's red bodysuit is actually more photogenic than size M, ensuring both structural depth and wearing comfort. The pairing of pink gloves and deep wine-red thigh-high boots on top of this base silhouette already feels very true to the original work of Persona 5. The material properties of this gear are quite unique, and the real captured effect might be more eye-catching than many heavily edited photos.
