Sharing Lynette Cosplay Convention photos from the Shenzhen Anime Convention on June 1st. Friends familiar with Genshin Impact probably know that this cat-girl character's temperament leans toward languid and composed. So for this shoot, I intentionally dialed back my state, opting against overly enthusiastic expressions to convey the confident composure of a magician's assistant instead.

The wig was custom-styled by @Youran. The original hair material was very smooth, and we specially emphasized the curvature of the bangs and sideburns to replicate the layering seen in in-game cutscenes. The gradient animal ears atop the head and the iconic small green grass accessory added a lively element to the overall look. The wig stylist's craftsmanship was superb—the wig barely got messy even after a high-intensity day of walking around at the convention.

I handled the makeup myself. Lynette's most memorable feature is the small star mark under her left eye, so I used liquid eyeliner along with fine pearlescent shimmer to highlight it, ensuring it remained clearly visible even under harsh overhead convention lights. The eye makeup concept involved elongating outward with an earth-tone base and deepening the corners of the eyes to suit the cat-girl aesthetic. For base makeup, I chose a long-lasting matte formula, as Shenzhen on June 1st was quite hot, and with crowded venues, setting the makeup solidly was essential.

Replicating the costume was the highest priority. The white shirt is sharply tailored, while the outer black leather waist corset provides great shaping effect. Red lace accents and a blue ribbon knot nicely balance the overall colors. The black pleated skirt has a firm texture, revealing a touch of lake blue lining for wonderful layering. To achieve this effect, I adjusted the positioning of the belt and leg straps multiple times to ensure aesthetics while not hindering movement. The platform boots featuring numerous buckles on my feet were key—the boot shaft height stopped right below the knees, which paired with black stockings produced a very flattering leg profile.

On the day of the shoot, foot traffic at the Shenzhen Anime Convention was huge, and inside the venue was lively. To collect as many good photos as possible, I walked around the convention hall for many laps. While this Cosplay outfit looks fantastic standing still, moving around presented some restrictions—especially the boots, as walking for a long time made my soles quite tired. However, seeing everyone's enthusiastic eyes upon recognizing the character made me feel very fulfilled.

Huge thanks to all the photographers met on site this time, who captured different sides of Lynette using diverse compositions and lighting. For instance, the standing shot holding cards captured the magician's mysterious air, while seated and reclining sets felt more grounded and languid, fitting my concept perfectly. Everyone was extremely patient during shooting, even advising how to avoid background clutter, making the final set turn out great. Although each photographer had different shooting habits, they all accurately captured the characteristics of my Genshin Impact Cosplay outfit.

The happiest part of cosplaying is allowing oneself to briefly step into that character's life. This convention gave me a deeper understanding of Lynette as a character, and I look forward to challenging more interesting characters in the future.
