The night of a cosplay makeup test is always full of possibilities. Based on the original character setting, I chose a short black wig with pink highlights; treating the tips of this hairstyle really tests one's technique. Because the bangs are relatively thick, in order not to affect the overall visual presentation, I carefully trimmed the hair strands and used a straightener to create slight curves at the ends so that the pink sections could spread out naturally.

Starting from the base makeup, today's look was intended to take a cold and glamorous route. The foundation needed to be clean and translucent, with the focus on reshaping the eye structure. I applied a slightly reddish eyeshadow shaded at the outer corners of the eyes, combined with tight eyeliner to deepen the focus of the gaze. The beauty mark below the eye is the finishing touch, instantly giving the facial features a unique recognizability. The red lipstick brightened up the whole face, presenting a slightly lazy yet refined feeling.

In terms of clothing details, I chose a crisp white shirt, buttoning up all the black buttons so that the collar fit the neck contour nicely. The black choker on the outside not only adds a cold, hard element, but also visually elongates the proportions. The high-waisted black pleated skirt on the lower body, paired with a black belt featuring a square buckle, cleanly and neatly cinches the waistline. Such an extremely basic color palette actually relies even more on excellent fabric texture for support, which is the accuracy issue I have always emphasized when selecting pieces.

For the first set of photos, I chose the cleanest pose without holding heavy props. With arms crossed and the index finger gently resting on the chin, a slightly tilted head angle nicely showcases the jawline while allowing the eyes to exude that aloof coolness. In fact, the black-and-white long-handled prop in photo 2 has quite some weight; just finding the right center of gravity for the grip was necessary to keep the composition from looking clumsy.

The ambient light used this time was cool-toned, with faint blue backlight hitting the edges of the hair, a color clash that perfectly highlighted the pink hair tips. During the shoot, I experimented with various facial expressions. In photo 3, biting a thin white stick instantly added a touch of casualness and rebellion, which is also a captured moment I personally love.

Overall, a cosplay makeup test is not just for shooting the final photos; it is a way for me to get infinitely closer to the character. Throughout this process, I carefully ponder every subtle movement of facial muscles and every shift in the gaze. The finalized test photo produced in the end serves as a satisfying milestone. I look forward to incorporating more dynamic poses in the official photoshoot next time.
