Appearing as Cissia at the Zenless Zone Zero convention venue, my primary goal today is heading toward the Proxy's location, while as for the egg stealing operation, naturally leaving behind a bunch of cool and cute Convention photos around the hall makes it truly complete.
The details of this outfit really test fitting and on-site adjustments. The upper body utilizes a red halter neckline spliced design, paired with a black waist cincher strap and white detachable sleeve covers, creating a sleek yet refined visual feel. The ruffles at the cuffs and the black arm straps add a touch of unique subtle moodiness to the character while nicely echoing her combat attributes. The small black bowtie at the neck serves as a finishing touch for the overall styling, making the upper body's visual center of gravity more focused. The black skirt on the lower half uses multi-layered asymmetrical spliced tailoring, working with asymmetrical stockings, which can be called the very soul of the costume.
Regarding leg design, the right leg features black thigh-high socks with ruffle details paired with fixed thigh straps, delivering strong asymmetrical visual impact; the left leg consists of white stockings with black geometric lines, paired with red-and-black platform mecha boots on her feet. This not only significantly boosts the overall aura, but also renders the entire styling more three-dimensional and exquisite.
Naturally, props are an indispensable part as well. This long-handled spiral staff played a great balancing role during shooting. The silver-white upper half features a streamlined design, while the bottom ends in a sharp red-and-black spearhead—possessing both aggressive presence and high recognizability. Holding it gives a substantial feel in hand, enriching the frame significantly.
For shooting composition, I chose two different approaches. The first shot is a dynamic capture standing on one leg. This pose tests core strength heavily, especially maintaining balance while wearing platform boots, requiring precise control over the center of gravity to present a light rather than heavy effect. The second shot adopted a single-knee kneeling pose; compared to the tension of standing, this high-angle view better displays the front chest lines of the garment and waist-abdomen details, paired with red pupils and playful gestures, infusing the entire frame with the character's signature confidence and agility.
Lighting conditions at the convention venue were also very ideal; cool-toned indoor ambient light nicely highlighted the contrast between white stockings and the red top. Through Convention photography, the photographer used a wide aperture to blur out background crowds and metal fences, making me and the prop the absolute focus of the frame. Actually, carrying this entire outfit and the long-handled staff while moving around the hall was quite physically demanding, requiring constant costume adjustments and carefully watching the prop so as not to accidentally bump into passing attendees.
But after seeing the final results of the Character photoshoot, all exhaustion was swept away. As Cissia, being able to genuinely recreate and record the character's demeanor through this costume and poses within a convention filled with fellow fans is what gives me the greatest sense of achievement. This on-site setup made the whole photo set look clean and textured, not only highlighting cosplay accuracy but also exhibiting the unique casual, natural feel of a Convention photo. It was a thoroughly enjoyable shooting experience.
