Standing at the Anime convention in this Satono Diamond outfit, the most immediate impression is the drape of the garment. Those large sleeves require extra caution when walking around, otherwise they easily brush against table corners or get caught on passersby. Fortunately, the photographer chose great shooting angles for capturing candid moments; all three photos avoided cluttered backgrounds and used a wide aperture to blur the crowd behind, leaving plenty of room for post-processing. This green dress paired with Purple pantyhose is a classic color combination, offering a sense of poise and playfulness. The fabric features delicate gold embroidery and black lace trim. Seen from the front, the layers are rich, with purple collar accents and ruffled details on the chest creating a full, dimensioned look before the camera.

However, wearing such an intricate costume has its challenges. When sitting down, you have to consider how to spread the skirt to prevent wardrobe malfunctions while keeping the large sleeves from touching the floor. As for the Purple pantyhose mentioned earlier, they look fantastic in full-body and seated shots, nicely tracing the leg lines and pairing with gold high heels for an upright, elegant posture. But the silky fabric tends to slip, and the elastic band starts sliding down before long, requiring frequent adjustments. Although the patterns on the legs are printed, their texture in photos looks great and, combined with the fabric quality, doesn't look cheap at all. When posing seated on the black box, I deliberately folded one leg to form a visual triangle, which naturally fanned out the skirt hem into a graceful curve while showcasing the leg patterns and boots as much as possible—a classic composition widely used in Anime convention shoots.

We mainly captured three angles this time. The first is a standing pose leaning slightly forward for a lively and cute look, with the hanging oversized sleeves filling the frame nicely. The second is kneeling, giving a well-behaved demeanor that displays the shoulder and neckline details. The third is sitting on the black box as mentioned, conveying confidence and a touch of allure.

This costume was truly an eye-catcher at the Anime convention; stepping out in it came with a sense of ceremony. To maintain the best form, I had to smooth out the skirt after every walk to check for wrinkles or bulges. The crowded venue attracted crowds of photographers and onlookers, which felt slightly intimidating at first and took some time to adjust to. The venue had harsh overhead lighting that easily cast hard shadows on hair and hats, so beyond the photographer's adjustments, I also had to mind my facial angles to keep the light even. Nonetheless, I love how the photos turned out—the overall color tones look wonderfully harmonious. In front of the camera, capturing the character's persona was key: a clear gaze with a subtle hint of pride. Though the shoot was tiring—especially with knees pressed to the ground for long stretches and navigating the trailing sleeves—seeing the finished photos made every bit of effort worthwhile.
