This bridal cosplay shoot for The Shorekeeper took quite a lot of effort from preparation to execution. The white piano and the scene filled with hydrangeas matched perfectly, and with the suspended crystal chandeliers and the heavily draped blue cloth banners, the visual texture of the entire space aligned beautifully with my imagination of the character's setting. The costume features lightweight blue-and-white chiffon layered with a stiff tulle skirt. The custom butterfly tulle on the headpiece makes the overall silhouette look more dynamic. To complement the gradient colors of the wig, I kept the Blue-toned makeup as light and sheer as possible, using blue eyeshadow and cool-toned lipstick to enhance the detached feeling, while intentionally raising the blush position slightly, hoping to highlight the character's divine nature.

The ambient light on the day of the shoot was actually quite complex, but the photographer, syu, cleverly brought out the layered texture of the wedding dress and the translucent quality of the wig through mirror floor reflections and fill-light design. To capture the exact moment the skirt fluttered naturally, we repeatedly tried various compositions and angles on site. The floor was actually covered with a thin layer of water mirror, so I had to be extremely careful with every step, but the final mist-shrouded effect definitely added a lot to the overall frame.

Actually, when planning works related to The Shorekeeper, I always hoped to do more than just recreate her appearance; I wanted to integrate that otherworldly yet bound-by-destiny feeling of the character into the outdoor scenery. Combining the bridal concept with the original character this time, elements like the waterscape, flowers, and the white piano set a composed and romantic tone for the entire piece. Although the shooting process was tough, seeing the fusion of blue and white tones in the final photos, along with the quiet atmosphere brought by this dreamlike water reflection, means I have successfully expressed the artistic mood I envisioned in this Anime-style photography project.
