[The Shorekeeper cosplay] Dreamy movement of blue and white gradient

For this The Shorekeeper cosplay shoot, it took about half a month from preparation to final photos. To restore the character's aloofness and sense of holiness, we did a lot of homework on props and backdrops. The wig used light blue long straight hair, topped with translucent butterfly wing hair ornaments, and the makeup focused on purple-pink eye shadow and clear base makeup, striving to present a translucent texture in front of the camera. The layers of the clothing are very rich; besides the basic white lace high collar, the outer blue-and-white gradient tulle and long veil all need to be arranged layer by layer. The wrinkles and falling tulle of the skirt hem are especially prone to tangling during shooting, requiring an assistant to help adjust them at any time. When the skirt hem drags on the ground, one must also be careful not to step on it while maintaining an elegant posture. The shooting location was chosen in a European-style studio, with a white grand piano, vintage crystal chandeliers, and Roman columns as the main backdrops. To keep the frame from looking monotonous, we arranged a large number of white roses, blue hydrangeas, and daisies, and even covered the piano with flowers, with crystal candle holders and birdcages as decorations. In front of the camera, I tried multiple poses such as sitting, kneeling, lying down, and playing the piano. The shots in front of the piano were the most difficult, requiring natural and elegant hand movements while controlling the gaze to be gentle yet deep, as the hands had to hover or rest lightly on the keys. My arms would get sore after a long time, but it had to be maintained for the sake of the frame's effect. To capture an ethereal feeling, the photographer used a soft-focus lens and special-effect light spots to create a stardust effect, and used a lot of diffuse reflection for lighting to illuminate facial shadows. This photo shoot in Dongguan cosplay gave me a new understanding of the blue and white cool-toned dreamy backdrop. This outfit is relatively heavy, especially the skirt hem which is very long, making it easy to press the tulle when kneeling, so every time I changed poses, I had to be very careful. For the shot lying on the white plush blanket, it required core strength to slightly prop up the body, otherwise the neck would look stiff, and the bouquet had to be placed in front of the chest to maintain a natural arc. However, seeing the final photos, all this hard work was worth it. The white plush blanket and birdcage props increased the dreamy feel of the image, and the overall atmosphere fit very well. I really like this work and thank the entire team for their efforts in turning the picture in my mind into reality. Every time I cosplay a character with such a big skirt hem, I can learn a lot of tips on clothes arrangement and emotional expression, which is also the fun that cosplay brings me.
