### Concept & Location Selection

The idea of doing a shoot for the character Shorekeeper from Wuthering Waves has actually been brewing for a long time. This costume has many design details, especially the splicing of tulle and satin, making it quite challenging to showcase the sense of layering in a real location. This time, I specially chose the riverbank in Chongqing to utilize the water's reflection and the extending wooden boardwalk, recreating the atmosphere of coastal watching in the game. The moment I stood on the boardwalk, the river breeze brushed past my body, making the fabric of the costume flutter and instantly immersing me into the character's state.

### Lighting & Pose Capturing

The photographer guided me to try various poses, from a medium shot standing on the stone slabs by the water to a casual posture sitting on the edge of the pier with my toes lightly touching the surface. Every movement strove to capture that clear yet slightly determined gaze of the Shorekeeper. This shoot heavily tested the application of light and shadow. The sunlight filtering through the clouds onto the water created a shimmering visual effect. Combined with the character's hairstyle and the light blue dominant tone of the outfit, the overall look presented a translucent, ethereal quality through this piece of Portrait photography.

### Details & Posture Adjustments

We also made minor adjustments to the props and accessories, such as wearing colored contacts to increase the depth of my gaze, and adjusting how the hood was worn so it could drape naturally in the wind. Since it was shot outdoors in broad daylight, the photographer adjusted the angles and parameters multiple times to balance the lighting ratio. In the wide shots (like those in pictures 2 and 3), we tried our best to preserve the openness of the background city skyline and the river surface, creating a lonely yet gentle sense of watching over. The close-ups (like pictures 4 and 5), on the other hand, focused more on the delicate shifts in expression, combining the fragility of this outfit with its vitality.

### Natural Light Reflection

Although the entire process was tiring, seeing the final photos made me feel that all the effort was completely worth it. Unlike the single artificial light of a studio shoot, natural light endows this character with a unique charm of light and shadow. As the session neared its end, looking at the vast river in the distance and the spots of light lingering on the water, I suddenly understood the meaning of that line in the lore text. I hope everyone can feel the unique charm of the Shorekeeper character through these photos. This is the Cosplay photoshoot I completed by the riverbank, and it stands as a wonderful highlight from my latest Chongqing photoshoot booking schedule. I'm so glad to share it with you all.
