The details on this Qingxiao costume are remarkably intricate. The top features a deep navy sleeveless mock-neck cut, with the collar and sides accented by golden metallic trims and teal tassels. Layered over it is a semi-sheer capelet graduating from white to blue, while the lower skirt is a mini-skirt patterned with cloud motifs and cut into dimensional layers. To harmonize with the outfit's chromatic palette, I chose a pale ice-blue wig, styled into two airy buns at the crown and pinned with white cloud hair ornaments. The makeup emphasized pink eyeshadow and blush paired with matching colored contacts, lending my demeanor an ethereal, lively 2D touch.

The studio set was dressed with bamboo stalks, pink blossom branches, paper lanterns, and wooden furniture. When posing seated in the traditional armchair, adjusting body alignment was vital. To showcase both the tiered layers of the skirt and the definition of my legs, I experimented with crossing my legs or bending one knee, allowing the White stockings to snugly trace my legs and form a seamless visual line with the white high heels. The folding fan was a crucial prop for this ensemble; with its wooden ribs and red-patterned leaf, resting it against my chest, cheek, or casually over my lap broke up negative space and guided the viewer's eye.

Indoor lighting was built upon a cool-and-warm color contrast: the blue sky backdrop provided a cool ambient glow, while paper lanterns atop the tatami radiated warm amber light. During shooting, I aligned my face toward the warm key light while angling my torso toward the cool fill light, creating sculpted contours while keeping skin tones soft and natural. Wearing white pantyhose presented challenges in keeping them smooth and snag-free. Constantly adjusting poses on the wooden chair and tatami mats easily caused creases, so smoothing out the fabric before each sequence was a must. Because the heels were tricky to balance on the flooring, relying on core strength was essential to stabilize my posture—especially during elongation poses, which proved surprisingly demanding physically.

While coordinating this look was meticulous, every phase—from wig sculpting and prop handling to set interaction—required patient refinement. The angle of the folding fan and the fan-out of the skirt folds directly influenced the atmospheric mood of the final image. Pairing White stockings with light-colored heels visually elongated my proportions, adding a modern sweetness to an otherwise Traditional Chinese style design. This shoot served as fantastic practice for fine-tuning posing discipline and detail control, and the final results achieved our envisioned goal. That wraps up today's share!
