[Mizuha Mimori cosplay] Blue Archive Hyakkiyako's training daily life

Today's weather was great for an outdoor shoot. Right after finishing morning cleaning and training, I quickly changed into this outfit. Hyakkiyako's campus is quiet and peaceful, truly the best place for training. As a Yamato Nadeshiko, one must maintain elegance at all times while also having the determination to protect others. To fit the character Mizuha Mimori, I put a lot of thought into preparing the props. That white toy handgun with pink accents and this woven basket filled with flowers and plants are my two favorite accessories in this shoot.

The shooting location was chosen as this Japanese garden, where multi-layered wooden buildings and tiled eaves have a special atmosphere. I specially paired black Stockings with geta, and the red short skirt has a more dynamic feel when moving. Photographer @凶杜下山 is great at capturing dynamic moments, especially jumping and looking back. To showcase the character's calm, righteous side, along with the contrasting softness she occasionally reveals in front of people close to her, I tried different body languages. For example, standing on one leg holding a gun, or lightly jumping in front of the lens holding the basket. Every time I tossed the skirt hem or turned around, I had to control the position of my center of gravity to ensure my facial expression didn't break.

Actually, outdoor shooting isn't as easy as imagined; walking in geta for a long time makes ankles and calves very sore, but seeing the finished photos makes everything worth it. I hope that through this set of photos, everyone can feel a sense of tranquility and daily life belonging to Hyakkiyako. Posing those seemingly relaxed actions actually requires constant adjustment of standing posture and angles behind the scenes. Every time the arc of the skirt hem is adjusted, it's to present the best state in front of the lens.

Besides the cool gun-holding actions, I also added some girlish elements. For example, jumping while holding the flower basket, expressing the character's small relaxation outside of training. The pairing of black Stockings not only adds a touch of sexiness, but also fits better with the temperature setting of autumn or early spring. The sound of geta matching with white socks while walking also helped me immerse myself more into the character's environment. The overall makeup and costume actually have many layers, which requires patience to groom. The wig bun and that floating head accessory easily fall off when jumping, so they needed to be fixed with lots of hairpins beforehand.

Although the weather for the outdoor shoot was sunny, the wind wasn't small either. To capture the moments of the skirt flying and the cape fluttering, we repeatedly adjusted the shooting angles. Thanks to the photographer's patience and the blessing of this set scenery. This state of quiet training and interacting with guardians on campus is the part I enjoy most when cosplaying. Regarding the understanding of the character Mizuha Mimori, I still have many directions to try, and I hope to have more opportunities to show different facets in the future. Just sharing photos, I hope everyone likes this daily segment of Hyakkiyako. The details of this outfit are really rich; the golden tassels on the sailor collar, the black lines on the edge of the cape, and the red straps all present a great texture under the lens. To prevent props from looking discordant, I practiced my gun-holding posture several times, trying to find that feeling of being both gentle and powerful. The black Stockings stand out particularly against the background of Japanese wooden architecture, which is also a small visual cleverness. I hope these ramblings let everyone understand more about the birth process of this set of photos.
