Today's styling for Jsspsi has finally been successfully photographed and released. This outfit is based on the setting from Arknights: Endfield, featuring a white, blue, and black overall color scheme where the texture of the metal accessories is crucial. To restore this costume, a lot of effort went into material selection during the preparation stage, especially the hidden patterns on the white dress and the mesh transparent fabric on the sleeve covers, which need natural light to reveal that sense of layering. The antlers on top of the head are made of lightweight material with gradient painting, so wearing them for a long time doesn't feel heavy. The biggest challenge to overcome was actually this thick tail, which has a skeletal support inside allowing it to bend freely into shapes, but while walking outdoors, I had to constantly mind my center of gravity to avoid tripping.
This outdoor location was chosen in an autumn garden, right when the red maple leaves were in full bloom. The rustic feel of the architecture contrasted greatly with this light green wig. During the shoot, photographer @氷雨 suggested I strike more quiet or agile poses. In terms of makeup, I specially chose blue contact lenses to echo the costume's color tone, and the eye makeup also incorporated some light blue blending to make the gaze look more aligned with the character's mysterious feel. The white pantyhose in the pictures actually test leg shapes quite a bit, with diamond hidden patterns that are very clear under the sunlight. The black glossy chunky-heeled short boots not only added height but also made the character's proportions look more slender. To maintain the glossy reflective effect of the boots, I had to constantly wipe away dust with a soft cloth between shots. When sitting down, I coiled the tail to one side, which not only balanced the frame but also allowed the leg lines to extend, presenting a better visual effect.
There was also an episode during the shooting process, which was the physical prop of scallions mixed with tofu placed on the ground. Originally, I thought of adding a bit of deadpan humor with Chinese-style cuisine against this serious sci-fi wasteland background, but unexpectedly, the actual shot placed among the leaf piles was particularly eye-catching, adding quite a bit of playfulness. The string of blue tassel beads held in hand was also specially matched, adding a bit of dynamic beauty while walking. Overall, this shoot, from the detail polishing of the costume and props to the utilization of scene lighting, achieved the effect I wanted. The outdoor light filtered through the maple leaves and hit the white and blue color blocks of the costume, presenting a fantastic texture. This set of pictures not only restored the character's appearance but also got as close as possible in posture and expression to my feelings while experiencing the storyline. I hope this record in the autumn Danqing Du can bring everyone a slightly different feeling.
