[Azur Lane Unicorn Cosplay] Summer Beach Record at Guangzhou Anime Convention

Putting on this pure white dress and holding U-chan while standing in the Azur Lane only area of Manxingji Anime Expo, this set of Unicorn's graphic shoot was successfully completed.

In terms of styling this time, the emphasis was on restoring the character's refreshing and translucent feel. The light purple gradient wig was tied into a side ponytail, with white flower hair accessories and black feather element decorations on top, which fits well with the overall pure white visual tone. The outfit features a high collar with lace trimming, semi-transparent tulle gloves, and cross-strap designs on the sides of the waist. To showcase a lightweight texture, the lower body utilized pure White stockings paired with white high-heeled leather shoes. The combination of White stockings and high heels beautifully elongates the leg lines, and when walking or posing on-site, the color system consistency was extremely high.

As for props, besides the yellow-horned and purple-maned unicorn plush toy (U-chan) held in several seated poses, there was also a silver trumpet decorated with black ribbons. Fixing the white wings on my back took some thought, as it had to ensure it didn't block the body's extension while letting the wings present a natural unfolded angle during standing poses. At the shoot location, photographer Hanchen-Wenjin patiently helped adjust the wings' position, ensuring the final images would have a natural dynamic feel without requiring massive post-processing edits.

The shooting venue was the set area of the Azur Lane only at the Guangzhou Anime Convention. The background board was a tropical beach with blue skies and palm trees, while the blue beach chairs and deep blue inflatable swimming rings added visual richness to the overall frame. The lighting was very soft, and the floor tiles had a slight reflection, making my skin look translucent through ambient light refraction when sitting on the pure white chair.

Looking at the studio composition, I quite prefer the seated ones, especially the full-body photo sitting on the beach chair holding the plush toy. This relaxed body language beautifully brings out the character's gentle traits. The high heels had a moderate height; when standing and holding the trumpet, slightly touching the ground with the tiptoes made the lines wrapped by the white high heels and White stockings look smoother.

Throughout the shooting process, although this look was worn in a sultry indoor venue in Guangzhou, the breathability was acceptable due to the well-chosen fabric, and with fan assistance during the shoot, it didn't feel very stuffy. Though White stockings and high heels easily crease while walking, the photographer was excellent at capturing fleeting moments, so the selected prints all feature clean shoe surfaces and smooth skirt hems.

The final prints present a clean, refreshing summer vibe. Free from overly complex background distractions, the character's pure white outfit and light purple hair look highly dreamlike under the soft lighting. The convention atmosphere at the Azur Lane only is always great, and being able to shoot a beloved character at such an event serves as a special memento for the entire week's convention schedule. This shooting experience was very comfortable, and I look forward to continuing to try this pure style of interpretation in other works or characters next time.
