[Nahida Cosplay] Genshin Impact Sumeru Lesser Lord Kusanali's light and shadow garden stroll

This Genshin Impact Nahida Cosplay outdoor cosplay shoot was chosen in a garden with flagstone paths and lush vegetation. The sunlight around 4 or 5 PM was just right, slanting through the branches and leaves, casting dappled light and shadow on the ground. That warm golden tone is very suitable for the setting of the Sumeru dendro archon. In order to capture a natural yet divinely lazy effect, we put a lot of thought into the action design.

The action of raising both arms high in the first picture is actually imitating the stretching feeling of plants growing toward the sun, but in order to present a slight naive cuteness, the back must be kept tense, and the arms must find the right angle, otherwise it is easy to look stiff. Pictures 3 and 4 are frontal sitting postures. Because Lesser Lord Kusanali's costume features a white base with green and gold patterns, the hem of the clothes spreads out when sitting down, which just happens to reveal the leg lines. I deliberately took off the cumbersome shoes and went barefoot stepping on the flagstones and grass. That slightly cool touch contrasts with the temperature of the sunlight shining on the skin, making it easier to immerse oneself in the character's state.

The details of the costume are also very exquisite. The wig features a silver-white gradient to light green, with slightly curled hair ends. The leaf hair accessory on top of the head and the gold-green arm guards on the wrists were assembled and fixed piece by piece by myself. To maintain their shape in front of the lens, a lot of inner support was added. In terms of makeup, to match the character's clear and transparent feel, the base makeup was applied relatively thinly, the eye makeup used a lighter orange-brown tone, paired with contact lenses to make the gaze look clearer.

The most troublesome part of outdoor cosplay shooting is actually the light and mosquitoes. In places with many bushes, standing there for a little while will cause your legs to get bitten, but for the relaxed sitting posture in picture 3, we had to bite the bullet and sit on the grass. When the wind blew, the light blue ribbon behind me fluttered, and the photographer captured it quickly, resulting in these photos with high color saturation and natural light and shadow. The entire shooting process lasted about two hours, with most of the time spent adjusting the extension of the limbs and the placement of the ribbons.

Actually, producing a good set of cosplay photoset is not just a pile-up of costumes and makeup, but more importantly, an understanding of the character's temperament and the shooting environment. By combining body details with light and shadow, the traits of a virtual character are materialized, which is also the reason why I have always been enthusiastic about outdoor cosplay shooting. This garden trip has successfully concluded, and I hope this set of photos can bring everyone a little bit of the fresh atmosphere of the Sumeru rainforest.
