[Necrass cosplay] Arknights: Summer Swimsuit Record in Coral Coast

For this outdoor shoot, we chose an outdoor swimming pool to capture the Necrass Swimsuit cosplay from Arknights. To catch the tail end of summer, we spent a long time preparing in advance. The themes of Coral Coast and Walking on water by moonlight truly complement the poolside setting, with water reflections bouncing beautifully off the silvery-white wig. The construction of Necrass's swimsuit outfit is relatively complex; the black decorative pieces around the neckline and shoulders needed to adhere snugly to the skin, so before entering the water, I kept double-checking whether they would slip off. The silvery-white long horn hair accessories were secured across multiple layers using hairspray and pins; during the shoot, even slightly larger movements would displace them, leaving me no choice but to rush touch-ups with hairspray during short breaks. The black polearm weapon prop looked formidable on land, but once close to the water, absorbing moisture noticeably increased its weight. Posing required engaging core strength to stabilize balance while maintaining strict facial expression control.

Soaking in the pool with close friends for group shots was the absolute best part. To capture water splashes and the sunlight refracting through the surface, we continually adjusted our positions in pursuit of perfect framing. Everyone wore their respective character swimsuits, splashing water and interacting playfully in an overwhelmingly joyful atmosphere. Due to extended shooting in the water, the swimsuit fabric grew heavier as it soaked up water, and combined with a damp wig, physical movement naturally slowed down. When posing near the water's edge, I made sure to grip the ground with the balls of my feet or lightly steady myself against the pool rim to maintain balance, which protected the props while allowing body lines to stretch out gracefully.

The UV rays at the outdoor pool were far stronger than expected, making thorough sun protection essential. Beyond using waterproof foundation on the face, high-SPF waterproof sunscreen was applied generously across the body; otherwise, a whole day under the sun would easily lead to severe sunburns. We also encountered strong wind conditions during this shoot that easily ruffled hair, so we had the photo assistant block the wind slightly from upwind or leveraged the wind direction to let hair strands flutter naturally, seizing more candid, dynamic shots.

In addition to the water shots, we utilized the poolside tires and lounge area to snap several photos on land. The light on land was much harder, so for better image quality, we opted to shoot around 4:00 to 5:00 PM when the sunlight turned gentle and soft. Although the entire process was quite demanding, seeing everyone's natural expressions and easy smiles on camera made every ounce of effort worthwhile. For outdoor Swimsuit cosplay shoots, setting up waterproof countermeasures in advance is imperative—contingency plans must be prepared for costumes, props, and makeup alike. These limited-edition summer memories and the sense of accomplishment from wrapping the shoot with dear friends are all immortalized within this photo set.
