[La Pluma cosplay] Arknights: A Quiet Silhouette, Frozen Moments in Backlit Photography

Arriving at the convention venue with this Arknights La Pluma cosplay gear, right after finishing hair and makeup, we immediately rushed over to this expansive glass curtain wall for Convention photography. The natural light here was crystal clear; although shooting directly into strong backlighting, pairing it with floor reflections made it easy to craft a deep, atmospheric aesthetic in Backlit photography. Because the fur collar on my head and outfit was quite bulky, moving around wasn't particularly agile, and with dense crowds on-site, we specifically sought out this intensely lit spot, aiming to drown out the background crowds into darkness and make the subject stand out.

The first shot is a complete backlit silhouette with a hazy, dreamlike effect, conveying a sense of quiet vigil. The second shot caught me checking playback on my phone screen and replying to messages while adjusting the stand, which the photographer spontaneously snapped from the side. Surprisingly, this completely unposed, natural state matched La Pluma's quiet and dutiful 2D personality flawlessly. During the shoot, since strong backlighting can easily underexpose the face, we had to adjust exposure compensation constantly while using nearby reflectors to gently illuminate the cheeks.

The details on this outfit were genuinely well-crafted, with weighty accessories and intricate fabric textures. Fortunately, there was a rest area nearby, allowing us to adjust gear after each shot. Sharing this set is mainly to document the experience of cosplaying the character that day. Although wearing the full set of gear was exhausting, standing before this massive glass window watching the crowds pass by felt wonderful, and the entire photoshoot progressed very smoothly.
