This Theresa photography project focused heavily on combining purity with a sense of contrast. The entire scene was dominated by pure white and cool-toned light blue, with Roman pillars and hollowed-out window frames constructing a chapel-like serene space. The floor was covered with a white plush carpet, which, paired with surrounding pure white florals and classical angel statues, built an environment filled with a sacred feel.
To portray Theresa's unique sense of serenity, the costume did not opt for traditional heavy gowns; instead, it utilized a large amount of feathers, sheer gauze, and lace for splicing. The strapless corset design beautifully outlines the waistline, and the large-area white feather shawl on the shoulders adds breathing room to the overall look. The high-slit lace long skirt on the lower body paired with white lace stilettos naturally reveals the leg lines when walking or sitting, which, combined with the embroidered patterns on the pure white Stockings, maintains a sacred feel while retaining a certain degree of visual tension. Regarding fabric selection, we intentionally chose sheer gauze with good light transmission, allowing it to present a lightweight sense of layering under studio lighting.
In terms of props, the white pigeon was the soul of this shoot. Interacting with real white pigeons tests patience greatly; they are sensitive to light and the environment, requiring quick snap-shots the moment they spread their wings or pause. To match the pigeon's nimbleness, I relaxed my facial expression management as much as possible, looking straight into the lens, which, combined with the semi-concealing effect of the mesh veil, created a hazy yet slightly stern sense of distance. For the headpiece, the black horns and dark red diamond-shaped decorations served as the visual focal points; the position and angle of the horns underwent minor adjustments several times to ensure they seamlessly integrated into the pink wig from both front and side close-ups without appearing abrupt. On the makeup side, the eye makeup slightly deepened the contours, the lip color chose a natural nude pink, and the nails were painted burgundy to echo the headpiece. The black choker around the neck formed a strong black-and-white contrast with the white veil, breaking the monotony of the large expanse of white.
The photographer poured immense thought into the lighting; the main light source was very soft, and ambient light in light blue was added to the background to highlight the subject, while softboxes were utilized to prevent harsh shadows on the face. During the shoot, I experimented with multiple camera angles and postures, including standing while holding the skirt, sitting on the steps, and lying sideways on the carpet. We utilized the different resting positions of the white pigeon on my hand or shoulder to enrich the compositional framing, while the pose of stepping onto the statue was meant to enhance the frame's narrative sense and tension. While maintaining a unified overall color tone, great attention was also paid to highlighting the material details of the lace, feathers, and Stockings, giving the finished photos both 2D anime refinement and authentic photographic texture. Whether it was the folds of the veil or the direction of the feathers, everything underwent repeated adjustment to present the most flawless side before the lens.
Theresa... good night.
