[Lynette Cosplay] The Catgirl of Genshin Impact: Dreamy Frozen Moments in the Angel Garden

Recreating Lynette's Angel Garden fan-art look from Genshin Impact this time, the focus of the shoot was to capture the character's agility and serenity. As a beloved catgirl with a cat tail in Genshin Impact, I hoped to showcase her elegance and liveliness through this light-toned cosplay. Considering the fan-art theme of Angel Garden, the overall visual tone was set to dreamy and translucent light and shadows.

For makeup and styling, the light blonde short hair paired with fluffy white cat ears and a long, light brown cat tail maximizes the character's core features. The outfit chosen is an off-the-shoulder mini dress with pure white as the main color palette. The fabric is light yet supportive, with a skirt made of multi-layered irregular ruffled folds. The chest and shoulders are adorned with light cyan and pale mint green bows and floral decorations. Detailed elements include detached transparent sheer sleeves, a pearl neckpiece, and light cyan straps crisscrossing around the legs, which together form the visual foundation of this shoot.

The venue selected is the European church style scene of Chenxing Photography Studio. White Roman columns, a classical carved carpet, and the light-filtering stained glass window in the background, along with a hanging blue crystal chandelier nearby, build an excellent environmental atmosphere. The site was decorated with a massive amount of faux floral arrangements, from light blue and pale purple hydrangeas to pink-orange roses, making the colors rich without looking cluttered. I particularly love those draping blue sheer veils; they greatly extend the spatial sense of the frame in front of the lens, giving the entire scene an incredibly ethereal vibe.

During the Cosplay photography process, Yu Chen Jiang, who handled makeup, photography, and post-processing, provided highly professional guidance. Because the hemline of this outfit is quite fluffy and includes a plush tail, finding a way to let the tail stretch naturally without blocking the details of the skirt hemline was a major test of composition and posing. We tried various different postures, paying special attention to eye contact guidance and body relaxation, letting myself entirely immerse into the serene spatial atmosphere of the Angel Garden.

Getting down to the specific action design, different poses serve different purposes. For instance, in the flat-lying photo, the ankles gently rest against the base of a white Roman column, elongating the leg lines and bringing a lazy, ethereal flow; the shot with hands clasped and eyes closed in prayer focuses on showing the character's quietness and piety; while the hand-reaching movement in photo five interacts with someone outside the frame, hoping to bring a sense of immersion to the audience. When pulling the blue light veil above the head in a standing pose, the focus is on stretching the shoulders and arms to display body tension and the character's proud agility.

The final photo light and shadow rendering is extremely translucent, preserving the ethereal charm brought by the cool tones while neutralizing the sense of distance with warm-colored floral art. The overall visual feel is very clean, without too many cluttered elements. Combined with the white Roman columns and scattered veils at the venue, it perfectly interprets the ethereal essence of this catgirl to the ultimate extent. I am delighted to collaborate with such a professional team; although this look had complex details, the final results achieved the lightness and dreaminess I anticipated.
