This time, bringing you the official cosplay photos of Hsin, the boss second form "Astraleap" from Wuthering Waves. The character Hsin has a very strong sense of mystery and fragility. To recreate her aloof yet somewhat alluring traits, we put a lot of effort into the early preparations.
In terms of clothing, I chose this aqua-cyan strapless long dress, made with a patchwork of satin with a slight reflective effect and lightweight chiffon. The silver-white lines on the dress outline a smooth tailoring, which not only fits the character setting, but also flatters the body shape nicely. The wide water sleeves can create a great sense of flowing elegance during the shooting. The animal ear props, which best embody the character's features, were specially treated with a gradient from pure white to aqua blue, and the fluffy texture looks extremely photogenic in front of the lens.
On makeup, to match the character's non-human feel, I wore blue contact lenses and intensified the eye blending, elongating the eye shape with blue eyeshadow and eyeliner, paired with long red fake nails to increase visual impact in the details.
The shooting location was chosen in an antique wooden loft. To echo the theme of "Astraleap", the background was decorated with a huge blue-moon screen and pink flower clusters. The most crucial auxiliary on site was the smoke bomb; the swirling smoke not only effectively blocked some cluttered backgrounds, but also created a dreamy wonderland atmosphere, giving the light and shadow more layering.
The equipment used this time is the SONY A7M5 body, paired with FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM and FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II lenses. Especially worth mentioning is the use of the KENKO BLACK MIST NO.05 black soft filter, which softens highlights very well in strong light environments, giving the image a hazy film-like cinematic feel that matches the overall tone of this set of pictures very well. The photographer Masaka and I experimented for a long time on lighting and camera positions; to capture the best expressions, many actions were adjusted repeatedly, and I am personally extremely satisfied with this set of final photos.
