This white studio photography log captures Chisa's new cat-ear maid outfit from the world of Wuthering Waves. The costume is built on a base palette of red, black, and white. The black vest-style top features a neckline and cuffs trimmed with abundant white lace, while the apron utilizes white ruffles and gold buckle accents to showcase the character's lively and playful personality through high-contrast colors.

To stay true to the character design, I chose red contact lenses for the makeup, adding a subtle reddish blush under the eyes and across cheeks to enhance vivid eye expression. Long straight black hair paired with cat-ear headpieces, topped with a red bow and gold bells, served as the primary visual anchors of the entire costume, giving the look distinct visual layering.

This shoot took place in a standard white studio decorated with café-themed props. A handwritten chalkboard menu, a minimalist wooden chair, a tall black round table, a retro megaphoned horn, and a slice of cake created a cozy afternoon tea setup. Merging this everyday warmth with anime cosplay aesthetics was precisely what this set aimed to convey.

The photographer @Zimu found many great angles. Because of the multi-layered skirt and intricate lace detailing, movement was somewhat restricted, but the photographer skillfully captured dynamic moments—such as sitting or holding up the cake—effortlessly showcasing both the premium quality of the outfit and cute feline docility.

The costume was crafted by @RenxingZhiyi, who mastered the tailoring for this style of maid dress. In particular, the cinched waistline and skirt puffiness revealed flawless seamwork under close-up shots, balancing the visual weight between the red bow and the black outfit.

To highlight the character's cat traits and maid role during the shoot, I paid special attention to body language—such as the subtle lift of the skirt, obedient sitting postures, and slight head tilts—striving to align with feline behaviors. Meanwhile, white stockings and red bow leg garters accentuated lower-body proportions in both standing and sitting poses, elevating the overall styling's completeness.

While bringing this look to life, I considered how to let the soft studio light illuminate the lace, bow, and bell details without overexposing or distorting color fidelity. Fortunately, the lighting was crisp and clear, producing well-defined layers that highlighted facial contours while preserving red-black contrast and white stocking details.

Although white studio photography can sometimes feel overly simplistic, thoughtful prop arrangements allow the character to become the absolute focal point. The nostalgic, warm everyday café props paired with this cat-ear maid dress produced a delightful gap-moe charm. Gold buckle accents added refined elegance beyond pure cuteness.

The final photos turned out very satisfying, accurately conveying Chisa's feline charm from Wuthering Waves while documenting a smooth collaboration between costume, props, and photography. It was a memorable studio experience that fused deep exploration of anime cosplay details with real-world creative synergy.
