This studio shoot chose a pure white background. To make the colors of the frame richer, I specially prepared a large number of yellow balloons and red-and-yellow-themed cardboard box props. Red hair paired with a white-toned costume looks very bright visually. The asymmetrical design of the costume was a challenge: one side is a white long sleeve with flower decorations, while the other side is a black and gray metallic-textured vambrace, coupled with boots that are one black and one white with different decorations. The dressing process was more complex than expected, but the stereoscopic and layered sense after wearing it is very authentic.

In action design, I combined the characteristics of the props. Kneeling half-way behind the cardboard box, making actions of tossing and catching balloons, and posing with one leg standing while holding up a star balloon were all meant to make the overall atmosphere more lively. Photographer Xiao Z is very experienced in light and shadow control; a pure white background is easily overexposed or looks monotonous, but through the adjustment of the main light, details of the character and clothing, including hair highlights, were well preserved. Especially the jumping actions in the last few photos; burst shooting captured many vivid expressions, breaking away from just standing still.

During the shooting process, the golden auspicious-cloud patterns and three-dimensional heart-shaped decorations on the clothes had great texture under the lighting. To match the character's energetic vibe, I tried to keep smiling in expression management, and the gaze needed to be coordinated with contact lenses to look more spirited. Although the prop balloons were light, capturing a good angle when tossing them was difficult, and it took several repeated tries to get the image of suspension in the air like in picture 2. Cardboard boxes and balloons stacked together, sitting on them or hiding behind them, created more possibilities for composition and added a bit of playfulness.

Regarding the presentation of the work, every time I do cosplay, I hope to restore 2D anime settings in the 3D world. This time, from the wig styling and headpiece fixing to the walking posture of the asymmetric shoes, the preparation work in the early stage took up a lot of time. The wig needed to be styled for fluffiness, and the bangs trimmed to a proper curvature, not blocking the eyes while retaining the character's features. The makeup section focused on emphasizing the outline of the eye makeup, matched with blue contact lenses, which presented very well under the strong light of the studio shoot. Although the prop balloons looked simple, the combination of lemon shapes and star shapes, paired with the red cardboard boxes, added child-like innocence and vitality to the frame.

Behind every photo everyone sees are the results of constantly adjusting poses and lighting. For the jumping snapshot in picture 5, to jump to the appropriate height with a natural expression, I probably jumped more than a dozen times. The overall color tone of this shoot is very bright and brisk, with yellow props and red hair producing a strong color-blocking effect, combined with the white background, giving a clean and vibrant feeling. Xiao Z also gave a lot of suggestions on composition, such as the star-hugging pose in picture 4, utilizing visual extension to make the overall frame fuller. For me, cosplay is not just putting on clothes and taking pictures, but experiencing the emotional reactions of another character in this scene. I hope this set of works can showcase the character's traits and let everyone feel the relaxed and happy atmosphere of the shooting scene.
