Today's finished photo set was primarily aimed at capturing the energetic essence of Tushan Susu. The location was chosen along an outdoor waterfront under glorious sunshine, allowing us to capture spirited, dynamic light and shadow. The lollipop prop I carried in my hand was originally just an impromptu accessory, yet it paired unexpectedly well with the overarching pink color palette.

The wig was a vibrant golden straight long cut, featuring a carefully teased ahoge at the crown that serves as the quintessential soul of the look. The ears were custom-molded pointed ear prosthetics; securing them took considerable effort, utilizing invisible hairnets and skin wax to blend the edges cleanly so they would remain anchored through extended shooting. For the eye makeup, I experimented with slightly striking cyan-blue colored contacts, paired with a rosy flush blended at the outer corners of the eyes to max out the ethereal, non-human fantasy allure. The base makeup was kept light and dewy, focusing chromatic energy onto the eye blending. The outfit is a modified crossover-collar hanfu cut; the top is bright pink, with cuffs specially dyed in a pink-to-blue gradient, while red waist sashes and golden bells along the hemline enriched detail. To accentuate an airy, billowing drape, I ironed the wide sleeves right before shooting to guarantee that when the breeze caught them, their flare would look effortless.

The outdoor heat was intense during the session, but the lighting dynamic was ideal: backlighting cast shimmering water ripples across the skirt hem in an immensely dreamy display. In posing, I leaned into light, breezy postures—such as resting a chin in hand, holding the lollipop with one hand, or letting my legs dangle freely—which lengthened leg lines and looked completely organic on camera. Being barefoot, standing on the stone platform required careful balance; the rough surface meant lightly gripping with my toes, thankfully yielding several satisfying dynamic snapshots. Utilizing rim backlighting, the photographer had me tilt my head slightly upward, carving out contour highlights along my hair and ears to elevate the frame's dimensional depth.

Tushan Susu has always felt like a beacon of tireless vitality to me—petite in stature, yet harboring immense inner warmth. In front of the camera, I deliberately set aside my usual mature demeanor, relaxing my facial expressions into an innocent, playful gaze. Synchronizing hand gestures with props effectively guided the audience's focal point. Chromatically, the vivid clash of pink, gold, white, and red set against the lush green background created crisp visual tension.

We relied on a wide-aperture lens to blur the rippling water and opposing shore greenery, cleanly isolating the subject. Compositionally, placing the subject along the rule-of-thirds lines avoided awkward frame cutoff. Because the costume is flowing and airy, burst-shooting the moments when gentle breezes lifted the sleeves let us select the most natural frames. In post-processing, I preserved tactile skin textures and realistic lighting transitions without excessive skin smoothing, wanting these frames to feel like a living, breathing fantasy maiden brought into reality.

Completing this set fulfilled a long-held dream of capturing this spirited, youthful style in oriental fantasy. I hope these vivid, fairytale-tinged visuals convey the pure warmth and infectious charm of the character herself.
