[Kurumi Tsuchimikado cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Sanrio Collaboration Pink-Themed Magical Girl Record

From receiving the costume to wrapping up the shoot, the overall process for this Kurumi Tsuchimikado cosplay from the NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and Sanrio collaboration was very tight. The dress adopts a classic pink-and-white color palette, structured with puff sleeves featuring ruffles and lace elements, with white trim accenting both the neckline and cuffs. A striking sky-blue large bow sits at the waist, forming a perfect color contrast against the overall pink-themed outfit to create more visual depth. The skirt features a multi-layered pleated design, where outer white tulle and inner pink fabric create a fluffy visual effect.

As for accessories, the headpiece features a white ruffled headband paired with an exceptionally large, three-dimensional red bow right in the center. To make the overall styling more complete, I specifically styled a matching long, straight black wig, keeping the bangs to frame the face contour. On my legs were good-quality white thigh-high stockings. To fit the character's cute elements, I chose a pair of pink platform Mary Jane shoes with bows and buckles on the vamp, which provided a height boost while keeping color tone consistent with the dress. The fluffy large tail behind me is also worth mentioning separately: the outer layer is a puffy white-to-gray gradient fur, while the inner side and base transition to a deep black. The tail is stuffed generously, appearing visually full and displaying a natural fur luster under the stage lights.

Regarding props, there's this magic wand. The handle portion is light blue, and the top features a complex red-and-yellow patterned design accented with small wing decorations on the edges. Although the prop itself isn't particularly heavy, I still needed to pay attention to the holding orientation when posing to avoid blocking facial contours.

The environment for this shoot was a pitch-black stage with a smooth, glossy floor that offered distinct reflective effects, perfectly showcasing reflections of the shoes and legs. The photographer mainly utilized rim lighting and side-backlighting setups. When this intense light hit hair strands and the tail, it created pronounced rim lighting—especially when capturing dynamic moments, where the flow of hair and the texture of the tail fur were highlighted by the light, making the images look more translucent. During the session, we tried several different poses, including squatting, single-leg standing balance poses, and relaxed sitting postures. Because the floor was slick and platform shoes carry some weight, executing single-leg balance poses required extra concentration to control my center of gravity. At the same time, careful attention was paid to the waist attachment point to keep the tail from slipping or shifting while walking.

The overall mood of this costume is remarkably vivid, and with the boost from stage lighting, it truly radiates the vibrant energy of a magical girl. Reviewing these frozen moments after the shoot wrapped up—whether the playful pose with knees pulled together or the expansive gesture of holding the wand high—all beautifully showcased the design advantages of this pink-toned cosplay outfit. Although working in a dark environment while wearing platform shoes and a wig for an extended period caused some fatigue, preserving these lighting effects and styling details made the whole process a truly worthwhile experience.
