[Fugue Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail gorgeous Ancient style cosplay styling

The production and wearing process of this Honkai: Star Rail Fugue Cosplay costume consumed a lot of energy. The overall piece is a classic color scheme of black, red, and gold, full of Ancient style cosplay fantasy. The base of the top is a dark patterned fabric, with red brocade spliced at the edges, and the sleeves feature a wide heavy-industry design, with pink petal gauze attached to the shoulders. After putting it on, the exaggerated golden flower accessory at the waist is quite heavy, requiring layers of inner straps to be tightened to firmly fix it on the waistline, ensuring it won't sag during shooting. Because the hem of the dress has a high-slit design, the inner lining skirt hem was treated with multi-layered widening, stacking the black-and-gold fabrics together, making the weight of the entire garment quite substantial.

The wig part also requires meticulous handling. The dark brown long straight hair paired with a thick braid in front of the chest, and the bangs trimmed rather wispy, need to be repeatedly styled with hairspray before shooting. The pair of white and brown plush Kemonomimi girl on top of the head are double-fixed at the junction of the real and fake hair using a hairband and multiple bobby pins; the metal leaf hair accessory on the left side must be clipped along the hair direction, and a slight big movement can easily tilt it, so every time I changed poses, I had to ask the makeup artist to help adjust it. The makeup focused on highlighting the green pupils, matching the eyeshadow stretched at the corners of the eyes to shape a somewhat cool and aloof feeling.

In terms of props, a long sword and a folding fan were prepared. The long sword is wooden with painted lacquer, and the hilt features a red tassel pendant. Holding it requires controlling wrist strength, and keeping balance when resting it on the shoulder and neck position. The fan surface of the folding fan features a red-and-black floral pattern, which can serve as the visual center of the frame once unfolded. The shooting site was arranged with a large area of gold-stamped satin, with a bright circular luminous body as backlight in the background, and the warm light source on the left lit up the hair strands and the gold threads on the clothes. To let the light pierce through the gauze sleeves, the angle of the main light source was relatively low, and the side backlight made the overall contour clearer. Next to it, fruit plates of grapes and lanterns were also placed to enrich the frame elements.

In posing, because the dress has a high slit, I needed to utilize a crossed-leg posture to elongate the visual proportions while keeping my back straight. Holding the folding fan in front of the chest or gently touching the side of the shoulder can effectively guide the line of sight and increase the visual focus of the upper body. When holding the long sword, the wrist should be leveled to avoid tilting the scabbard. Throughout the shooting process, the high slit of the dress and the gauze on the shoulders imposed quite a few restrictions on movements; slightly bending over or reaching out would change the overall lines. This makeup and styling has a very strong contrast in color, with the dark base material plus golden and red accents, showing great texture under warm light. These photos were captured bit by bit during the continuous adjustment of lighting and prop positions, and the post-processing also carried out meticulous fine-tuning on light, shadow, and color.
