Shooting convention photos for Pozëmka at the expo involved a prep cycle far longer than I initially anticipated. To present my best possible form on site, I spent half a month fine-tuning sartorial and prop nuances. The outfit boasts rich dimensional layers: the outermost white overcoat utilizes a semi-sheer gossamer textile whose billowy bell sleeves provide an airy drape, though requiring careful handling so as not to appear messy during movement. Printed across the cuffs and hem are gilded diamond motifs edged with fine gold embroidery. Beneath sits a light cyan crop top bordered with gilded hems and scale-like mesh patterns that sculpt clean body lines. The taupe corded sash at the waist carries heavy drape, tipped with miniature brass bells that chime crisply with every step—subtle details that sparked immense kinetic inspiration during the shoot.
Crafting the coiffure and makeup demanded equal care. The pastel pink tresses were styled into neat blunt bangs accompanied by two slender braided tendrils, while the oversized fluffy ears—white with blush pink tips—took extensive scouting to find fibers with the most realistic, organic flow. To elevate the character's poised aura, a gilded tassel pendant was anchored to the root of the left ear, while the eye makeup paired dusty pink eyeshadow with elongated winged eyeliner and crimson contacts to evoke her calm, translucent gaze. Numerous fellow cosplayers came over asking for wig and ear links; though wearing heavy fur ears in a crowded hall was stifling, receiving such widespread recognition was truly heartening.
Exhibition lighting was notoriously erratic on the day, but the photographer expertly harnessed practical ambient shafts and post-production color grading to amplify atmospheric mood. I wielded a bamboo calligraphy brush; while light in hand, projecting the character's dignified, grounded gravitas required precise wrist tension and angle. Holding the brush single-handed toward the lens meant keeping the shoulders and spine pin-straight without slouching. The shot capturing the billowing hem as I lifted the dress was the fruit of repeated trial and error. The azure skirt is long and adorned with intricate lace borders and gold diamond prints; to capture the fabric fully blossoming mid-air, I repeatedly pivoted and kicked out my stride while maintaining absolute facial composure—an intensely demanding physical exercise.
Cosplaying on an active convention floor ultimately tests on-the-spot adaptability. With crowds weaving past, other attendees constantly threatened the background framing, prompting us to tuck into several quiet corners to clip angles cleanly. Given the length of the gown, navigating concourses meant constantly watching my step to avoid hem-trampling or snagging waist bells on gear. Nonetheless, the overall experience was fantastic; countless Arknights fans recognized Pozëmka, striking up conversations about game lore between takes. Exhausted after a full day under heavy makeup, reviewing those vivid frames in camera made every ounce of fatigue evaporate. This shoot served as a comprehensive character portrayal—deeply grateful to myself for enduring the day and to the photographer for patiently immortalizing these moments.
