Tallying up the ledger for this Western Sichuan travel photography trip, pure transport, lodging, and travel expenses alone exceeded 10,000 yuan. Seeing the post garner only sixty views—saying my heart wasn't crushed would be a lie. Yet gazing at these finished frames, I feel certain things simply cannot be measured by algorithm traffic. This Violet Evergarden travel shoot was a dream project I prepared for a very long time. Starting from wardrobe selection, the metallic zipper of the deep Prussian blue cropped jacket, the golden trim piping, and the brown patterned inserts layered into the white tiered skirt were each cross-checked meticulously against design sheets. The wig was a pale wheat-blonde, and the crimson ribbon secured at the back of the head underwent endless angle adjustments just to float with a natural, graceful arc in the mountain breeze. Furthermore, the pale-blue long-handled parasol and vintage brown leather suitcase were quintessential props for the shoot. To evoke uncompromising realism, we ventured deep into the high-altitude plateaus of Western Sichuan, framed against rolling snowy peaks and dense coniferous pine forests. The waterside scene etched the deepest impression on me; to achieve symmetrical framing utilizing a flawless Reflection of snowy mountains on the lake surface, we staked out on the meadow grass for hours, waiting for that split-second lull when the wind died down entirely. To capture the billowing hem of the Vintage dress and light, soaring leaps, I ran back and forth along the water's edge countless times. Leaping across rough grasslands clad in a voluminous gown and leather boots while regulating facial composure—all while aligning the parasol and suitcase precisely—meant any slight misalignment required starting over from scratch. Weather was erratic throughout those days and altitude sickness was a relentless headache, yet seeing the snowy peaks reflected on the water alongside my complete silhouette made every hardship instantly worthwhile. My love for this character and this story runs deep, which is why I was eager to spend my savings to bring the landscapes seen through her eyes into reality. Over my years of doing cosplay, I have frequently encountered moments where heartfully crafted work goes unnoticed, but as long as I can translate the visions inside my mind into living reality, I will keep shooting. This Western Sichuan journey gave me far more than just photo sets—it was a deeply immersive communion: to feel the wind, to absorb the stillness of the snowy mountains, and to touch the inner heart of the character.
