Bringing this Violet Evergarden ensemble to life—from fabric selection to makeup trials, right through to roaming the convention hall on the day of the event—was a journey filled with both challenges and creative joy.

The wardrobe is replete with delicate intricacies: a cropped peacock-blue jacket paired with an ivory pleated umbrella skirt. To sustain the flared silhouette of the skirt, I layered a petticoat underneath and finished the look with brown lace-up heeled boots. The entire attire has an impeccably crisp drape when worn, though walking through an anime convention all day in it is undeniably a test of physical endurance. The multi-layered white lace cravat and gloves felt quite warm inside the bustling venue, but seeing the raw captures taken by photographer Maomao made every bit of effort worthwhile.
