[Vex cosplay] Golden Spatula Cafe Cuties: A sweet and edgy pink strike

The core of this Chibi Vex Cafe Cuties cosplay from Golden Spatula lies in the gradient color blending of the makeup and the authentic texture of the pink-themed outfit. Having always loved the Cafe Cuties skin line in Golden Spatula, and frequently climbing the ranked ladder with Jinx and Vex during gameplay, I decided to blend these two inspirations into a visually sweet and instantly recognizable cosplay styling.

Starting with the makeup, the base was given a clean, porcelain matte texture, with primary emphasis placed on the multi-dimensional eye makeup.I wore bright blue colored contacts, bypassing conventional neutral earth tones in favor of an expansive wash of pinkish-purple shades, heavily buffed and smudged across the outer corners and lower eyelids. This was paired with generous blush swept directly over the cheekbones and under-eye area, evoking a flushed, subtly yandere allure. To enhance facial bone structure, highlighters were kept disciplined, dotting only the tip of the nose and the inner eye corners.The wig featured blunt black bangs paired with pink side locks; this split pink-and-black palette resonated harmoniously with the pink wallpaper in the background.

I invested considerable thought into the headdress. To match the Cafe Cuties theme, I chose a bonnet trimmed with copious white lace and ruffled pleats, paired with massive plush beast ears interweaving pink and black fur.The beast ears are quite voluminous and carry substantial weight on the head, requiring deliberate neck engagement during the shoot.The neckline featured white ruffles centered with an oversized black satin bow, accented in the middle by a rhinestone-bordered pink heart gem that anchored the chest as the visual focal point. Black braided cords along both shoulders served as an ingenious detail, balancing the flounce of the pink Lolita dress so the overall silhouette never felt overly airy or floaty.

The wardrobe centered around a Lolita dress in shades of soft pink, designed with puffy lantern sleeves and delicate crinkled fabric textures that felt exceptionally luxurious. To complement this styling, ample thought went into set dressing: the wall was covered in pink wallpaper embossed with vintage floral patterns, flanked on the right by purple lace curtains, with a pink-and-purple floral bouquet and a tiered faux white cake adorning the table. The lighting favored a soft, pink-tinted glow, maximizing the dreamy ambiance.The lens adopted a portrait bust composition with the character seated squarely in the center, utilizing a shallow depth of field to gently blur the background and keep the subject crisp.

Speaking of the game, the Force of Nature mechanic in Golden Spatula has always been fascinating—adding +1 team size provides a massive boost to assembling late-game comps. Whenever I ran the Cafe Cuties trait in-game and watched the champions dish out damage across the board, I always thought materializing this skin theme into a real-world cosplay would be tremendously fun. Vex inherently carries a uniquely gloomy, melancholic demeanor, yet the Cafe Cuties skin infuses her with lively sweetness; this contrast was the exact essence I strove to embody. Therefore, while shooting, I deliberately maintained a subtle expression—gazing straight into the lens with a faint, wry smile at the corner of my lips, attempting to seize that intersection of sweetness and gloom.

During the shoot, because the wig's bangs sat quite low and the bonnet added noticeable weight, my field of vision was somewhat restricted, meaning many adjustments were made purely by feel. Fortunately, the final images achieved exceptional color fidelity: the pink dress, black bow, blue eyes, and plush ears harmonized together to deliver the exact visual punch I envisioned. This was an exciting endeavor merging gaming aesthetics with fashion styling; crafting everything from hair and makeup to set construction with my own hands was intricate and demanding, but seeing the final photos made every bit worth it.
