This two-day working trip at cpsp was an absolute immersion into the revelry of the anime world. It was definitely exhausting, but the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction was genuinely real.
Let's talk about this uniform costume from Blue Archive. The tailoring fits the silhouette closely; the black base paired with abundant gold piping and intricate frog closures looks dignified yet sharply capable. Styling the white wig took a lot of effort—securing the dark horn-shaped headpiece and the black-and-pink bow tie required real finesse, as even a slight tilt would disrupt the overall visual balance. To match the character, I specifically chose these striking bright blue contact lenses. For eye makeup, I avoided excessive smudging, instead using delicate eyeliner to define eye shape, overlaid with a sheer wash of pink blush centered on the face to bring healthy color so the cool-toned white hair and blue eyes wouldn't look washed out. For footwear, I chose black buckled tall boots layered with knee-high dark socks and red over-the-knee accents, creating a stylish Stocking outfit where staggered lengths casually elongate leg lines. Snapping a mirror selfie in this outfit (Photo 1), I felt the overall aura was right on point.
Throughout the two days of working on-site, I spent most of my time busy at the booth, meeting many wonderful friends along the way. There were fans recognizing the character by the merch, beginners discussing makeup products and wig-styling tips, and players who traveled from out of town specifically for this Anime convention. This face-to-face interaction is a completely different experience from posting online. Sales of small merch like plushies and badges were also great; seeing everyone love the items I hauled over made me genuinely happy. The lighting at the Anime convention was quite chaotic, but the close-up snapshots taken on-site (like the one holding the plush doll) turned out surprisingly atmospheric. I deliberately used plushies and small items as interactive props to keep the photos engaging.
The look with the yellow hat and blue dress in Photo 2 brought a totally different, carefree vibe—mainly just for fun, since exploring diverse styles is what an Anime convention is all about. The two-day schedule was packed; between taking photos and booth-hopping, evenings were spent painstakingly detangling wigs, removing makeup, and cleaning props, but looking at the day's photo previews made every bit of effort worth it. Honestly, bringing a beloved character to life at a bustling offline event like cpsp brings a sense of achievement that words can hardly describe. I look forward to meeting more friends at upcoming conventions and keeping this passion alive. It was tiring, but I simply can't get enough of it.
