The direction of this shoot focused on Wishadel from Arknights (Wishadel cosplay). The overall costume is predominantly black leather, featuring white ruffles and red straps. The hair is silver-white, topped with red curved horns. The set was styled with draped red fabric, reflective golden plastic sheeting, and a broken mirror with an ornate carved frame. Putting on the headpieces and straps was extremely time-consuming—especially the straps across the legs and arms, which felt very tight and restricted my range of motion, requiring constant posture adjustments to avoid digging marks. Pairing Black stockings with over-the-knee lace-up boots delivered fantastic texture under hard lighting, cleanly carving out leg lines. For eye makeup, the focus was on elongating the outer corners and deepening the eye socket contours, which, paired with cool white side-light and warm red backlighting, heightened the character's dangerous presence through color contrast in this Dark style setting.

The first shot faces the fractured mirror surface, leveraging its cracks and reflections to emphasize the intimidating gaze. We tested numerous angles during shooting to create a layered offset between the face in the mirror and my actual profile, while ensuring even facial lighting. The second shot is a close-up, combining red-orange light sources with a slow shutter speed to generate dynamic motion blur and trailing effects, conveying an anxious and restless mood. When capturing this shot, emptying my gaze helped bring out that underlying aggression. The third is a full-body composition utilizing High-contrast photography with hard side-lighting; under this lighting effect, the shadows on the Black stockings, tall boots, and red fabric background remained exceptionally clean. When hit by strong light, the transparent plastic film on the floor cast golden reflections—this clash of distinct textures elevated the visual sophistication.

The most demanding part of this shoot was actually choreographing the poses and expressions. To capture that blend of provocation and coolness unique to Wishadel, I practiced gazes in front of the mirror repeatedly before the shoot, occasionally fine-tuning my eye shape. Leaning toward a Dark style with sensual undertones, natural body extension became crucial. For instance, when sitting on the edge of the mirror frame, placing legs at differing heights paired with an upward gaze appeared effortlessly relaxed on camera, yet executing it required continuous muscle control throughout to prevent lines from slumping. Walking on the plastic sheeting in this gear was prone to slipping, and I had to constantly watch out for the mirror frame snagging my hair.

On-set communication also required frequent prop adjustments with the photographer, including how the red drape fell and how the skeleton hand was placed. This series actually incorporated unconventional lighting methods, such as temporary red-blue split lighting for shadow contrast, with minimal heavy retouching in post-production to preserve the raw, chilly texture captured on location. This shoot was a refreshingly distinct attempt—beyond maintaining the character's demeanor, harmonizing the intricate restrictive straps with Black stockings and boots into a cohesive whole took considerable effort, but the final visual outcome was deeply gratifying.
