[Eyjafjalla Cosplay] Sharing Relaxing Moments with Arknights' Little Sheep

When I received the physical outfit for this Eyjafjalla Cosplay loungewear look, my very first reaction was that the skirt was much lighter than expected. The pleating lines created by this fabric look fantastic, but moving around on-site easily causes deformation due to wind or bumps, so continuous effort was needed during shooting to constantly adjust the angle and drape of the skirt. Prop-wise, the plush doll lying nearby was truly a finishing touch; placing it there not only filled empty corner space in the frame, but also enriched the casual, cozy narrative of the overall 2D character atmosphere.

Wearing the headwear also required precise attention. If that pair of white horns wasn't secured firmly, any angle tilt would severely compromise source accuracy, so it was adjusted repeatedly during shooting. Standing barefoot on artificial turf was actually a bit prickly, but to convey the most natural lounging-at-home state, this minor discomfort was easily compromised. That black-and-blue anklet is a prime detail among details; without slightly bending the knees, its shape would easily be blocked by the dress hem, hiding the design while making the pose look stiff. Thus, the leg positioning seen in the photos is the optimal angle found through numerous tests.

The photoshoot background utilized a green wall with abundant hydrangeas and reddish-pink plants, which, paired with the lightweight pink skirt and orange-pink gradient curls of this Pink-themed outfit, created a very gentle color contrast. Managing the wig was extremely demanding because curls easily deflate, requiring hairspray to maintain fluffiness. For makeup, to suit the 2D character's skin texture, I used a high-transparency foundation, specifically applied a pink-purple gradient eyeshadow, and wore matching contact lenses to make the gaze look clearer and more luminous.

There were quite a few passersby on-site, so waiting for a clean background often took considerable time. During breaks, I couldn't sit down to avoid staining the skirt, maintaining a standing posture throughout to prevent creasing. However, what I'm most satisfied with in this Cosplay photography session is the lighting: the photographer added warm gel filters over the softbox, producing light that preserved dimensional skin contours without washing out shadows, looking warm and clean against the green backdrop. Post-processing avoided exaggerated filters, simply fine-tuning color temperature and leg lines to faithfully preserve the dreamy vibe of the raw shots.

For a seated lounging concept, the greatest challenge is expressing relaxation rather than stiff posing. Adopting a tucked-leg, side-leaning posture while using the plush doll to fill space worked surprisingly well. Meanwhile, the white horns on top and the chest bow pleats were meticulously arranged to showcase the character's unique charm. As a cosplayer, reviewing character settings and costume details before every photoshoot is an essential habit, and perfectly presenting this state filled me with a sense of accomplishment. Next time I wear this set, I'd love to try shooting under indoor night lighting to explore a completely different ambiance.
