This set of Vivian cosplay emote memes from Zenless Zone Zero was shot in an outdoor sunny setting, focusing on capturing the character's elven agility and casual everyday feel. To complement this lifestyle-oriented outdoor location, we skipped complicated studio lighting and relied directly on natural light. This allowed the layered purple-and-white highlights of the wig to look even richer under the sun, while giving skin texture a soft, detailed look.

First came meticulous makeup and styling preparation. To recreate the character accurately, fitting the Elf ears seamlessly was a top priority. They needed to be securely adhered to the auricle while using stray strands from the wig for blending, ensuring authenticity from side and three-quarter angles without letting prop edges look jarred. For eye makeup, we highlighted the reddish-brown contact lenses and the beauty mark below the eye, paired with warm-toned blush and eyeshadow to add an innocent yet playful expression. Due to long shooting hours and sweating outdoors, setting the makeup took considerable effort.

The costume outfit leaned toward a sharp yet cute uniform style. A white ruffled stand-collar shirt served as the inner layer, topped with a black sleeveless vest to build clean contrast layers. The bow tie and purple gemstone ornament at the neck acted as visual focal points, with the gemstone reflecting a subtle purple sheen under natural light. Striped patterns on the cuffs provided color harmony, avoiding monochrome black-and-white dullness. Smooth fabric texture helped showcase the outfit's sharp cut and silhouette in natural lighting.

The shoot was a blast, and photographer A-Bin brought rich experience, guiding me on adjusting poses and expressions based on scene vibes. The first chin-resting pose aimed to show approachable charm, with arms stacked naturally on the table, a slight head tilt, and soft gaze conveying everyday comfort. The second shot featuring a hand touching the bow tie shifted focus to an intense stare, where the red contact lenses added focused intensity with a hint of character mystery.

When capturing the candid hair-tucking close-up, A-Bin suggested letting my eyes drift slightly past the lens to soften staged feelings, resulting in a more casual vibe. The final mouth-covering surprised pose became the most recognizable shot in this emote set, as my long black pointed nails partially covered my face, introducing fun contrast. We repeated this motion several times to avoid scratching skin or snagging the wig with nails, fortunately landing a frame that balanced dynamic motion with natural composure.

During post-retouching, we preserved authentic skin and hair textures while adjusting brightness contrast and color tone. Since raw files leaned warm-yellow in color temperature, we cooled it down to emphasize the outfit's cool tones and brightened facial shadows to sharpen facial feature dimensionality. From this angle, authentic texture reflects the cheerful, clever character persona far better than heavy skin smoothing.

Beyond this emote meme set, we captured other pose directions that day, with many raw shots currently being processed. From managing wig frizz and adjusting costume fit to finding light angles before shooting, every cosplay photo set involves intense prep work. Though demanding, seeing final shots convey the character's true charm makes all efforts worthwhile. Follow-up content will be shared after updating this batch, as outdoor shooting and final results have sparked plenty of new inspiration for me as a Cosplayer.
