[Remielle cosplay] Dark Night Rose of Zenless Zone Zero, Dual Interpretation of a Gothic Sweetheart

This time, I finally shot Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero in the dark gothic style I had been dreaming of, creating a sharp contrast with the previous white outfit—truly two entirely different temperaments. Pink hair paired with a black hollow lace-up neckline, semi-sheer puff sleeves, and black stockings and high heels instantly maxed out the visual tension of the look. On the shooting day, I specially sought out a set of dark vintage scenes where reddish-purple light cast down, perfectly highlighting the skirt's texture and leather buckle reflections, giving even the bows a dangerous yet charming flavor.

In fact, a lot of thought went into the outfit details, such as the metallic pendant on the collar and the lacing method for the black straps—ensuring it didn't choke while maintaining a sleek, upright shape took several adjustments during makeup trials. The black stockings paired with platform high heels elongated leg lines while stabilizing balance; when taking seated shots, spreading out the skirt hem brought out rich layering instantly. Meanwhile, the white lace set took a completely different dreamy route—pointed ears and star hair ornaments matched with silver sandals. I naturally quieted down during the shoot, and the moment I closed my eyes to arrange the skirt hem, the atmosphere felt exceptionally gentle.

Arriving right around the anniversary of Zenless Zone Zero, being able to fully present my favorite character in two contrasting styles at this time is a special dynamic landmark for me. During shooting, the photographer kept reminding me to watch my eyes and hand placement, as Remielle in the game is proud and fiercely stylish, avoiding stiff poses. Thus, in the second photo, I intentionally used a slightly upward-looking angle, locking my eyes onto the camera with fingers resting lightly near the neckline to recreate that calm, commanding aura. The white set leaned more toward everyday healing vibes; switching between these two emotions amazed even myself.

What usually frustrates me most during Gothic style cosplay shoots is scene lighting and prop pairing. This time, the red rose metal-carved sofa was a huge help, harmonizing perfectly with the black outfit. Post-processing avoided heavy skin smoothing, preserving natural skin texture and the sheen on the black stockings, making it look more realistic and aligned with the character design. Finishing this shoot showed me why so many cosplayers love the dark style—it naturally evokes emotion while raising the bar for garment textures and accessory details, making it a deeply satisfying endeavor.
