This Marisa Kirisame cosplay outfit has a lot of details. The black and white color scheme combined with star lace and cascading ruffles, along with the design of the hat and cape, gives the overall silhouette great tension. During the shoot, I specially chose a studio with a pure white background to highlight the layers and tailoring of the costume itself. In terms of movements, I tried more extended body language, such as lifting one leg, leaning forward, and wide sleeve-swishing, which can better express Marisa's lively and somewhat mischievous personality traits. The wig is a blonde style with double braids, and combined with the reddish-brown eyeshadow in the makeup, I feel quite satisfied with the replication level. The white shorts and brown belt paired with small black leather shoes blend a practical balance into the anime style. The shooting process was actually quite a test of physical stamina, especially with the weight of the hat and cape, but for the final photo results, each photo pose was repeated many times to try and capture the dynamic moments of the character in every frame. The advantage of a solid-color background is that post-processing doesn't take much time, allowing the focus to be entirely on the person herself. This time, I mainly wanted to share some positions that can serve as a sketch reference. The character designs of Touhou Project have always been classic, and being able to cosplay a character I love is a very happy thing in itself. I also did my best to restore the props and details of the costume.
