[Sakuya Izayoi cosplay] Restoring the elegant moments of the Scarlet Devil Mansion in the tranquility of a classical garden

This shoot was mainly intended to restore Sakuya Izayoi's elegant and slightly mysterious temperament against the backdrop of a classical garden. To fit the overall aesthetic of Touhou Project, I put a lot of consideration into the pleats and lace details of the costume. The texture of that iconic short knife under different light and shadow was particularly crucial, so while capturing the motion, we paid special attention to the angle of holding the knife and the line presentation of the hands, striving to reveal dynamic tension even in static photos. During the actual shooting process, in order to pursue the unique atmosphere of the "Scarlet Devil Mansion," it was often necessary to precisely control the micro-expressions of the eyes; that faint sense of detachment is the core soul of this character. The overall tone this time tends towards cool colors, paired with white long hair and a dark blue dress, hoping to present a more exquisite Sakuya. Although everyone's familiarity with Touhou Project varies, as a cosplayer, being able to perfectly restore a character recognized deep in one's heart is, in itself, a very pure creative joy. Both the lens language and post-production color grading of this set were balanced between 2D restoration and real-life photography aesthetics, hoping to convey the texture everyone desires through these images. The production of every photo condenses deep thinking about the character's personality.
