The fit of this Castorice Character-inspired outfit turned out even better than I anticipated, especially with its tailoring focused heavily on dimensional layering. To start with the most intricate part—the skirt—it features an asymmetrical high-low cut; the front deep-blue striped pleated skirt hits right above the knees, layered over multi-tiered white ruffled flounces inside. The back train is remarkably long, patterned with purple-to-black gradient butterfly wing prints. To capture that natural, flared dimensionality in a Mirror selfie, standing slightly angled or adjusting the leg position was essential so the silhouette wouldn't look cluttered.

The accessories were equally well considered. The wig is a pale violet straight long style with wispy trimmed bangs, paired with pointed elf ear props. The butterfly hair ornament atop the head and the black choker around the neck are key visual accents; the hairpiece must be firmly pinned to the left side, as any slight tilt would disrupt the overall proportions. The white handbag in hand is my absolute favorite piece in this ensemble: the purple-and-white butterfly wing design across its surface resonates seamlessly with the skirt motifs, and its structured, sturdy material easily holds a phone, compact powder, and lash glue while remaining effortless to style. On my feet, I wore deep-blue high heels whose ankle ribbon straps and pearl accents elongated my leg lines; when taking mirror selfies, I deliberately crossed my legs to better highlight the shoe craftsmanship and the front-to-back proportions of the skirt.

Regarding makeup and settling into character: although my face was partially obscured by the phone, I chose a long-wearing base, with eye makeup in purple-blue tones to echo the palette of the outfit. To convey the breezy airiness of a Character-inspired outfit, my arm placement and center of gravity were tilted slightly backward. The waist features a black corset design which flatters body curves, though its tightness needs checking during long walks to prevent shifting. The serrated, jagged cuffs of the arm sleeves are a brilliant finishing touch, making the arms look noticeably slender when properly positioned.

Since this was prepared for attending the Fan Content Festival, I made extensive preparations before heading out to ensure the best possible condition when walking the convention floor. I lined my high heels with anti-blister pads, steamed the skirt pleats smooth with a garment steamer, and tamed any flyaways on the wig ends. Stepping into the venue in this outfit to meet everyone, I hope to capture even more wonderful convention shots and look forward to connecting with fellow fans.
