Today I shot a set of Shimoe Koharu cosplay in the classroom. The shooting location this time was chosen in an empty classroom. To restore that campus atmosphere, the arrangement of desks, chairs, and the blackboard was kept as close to the anime feel as possible. I prepared for a long time to shoot this Koharu from Blue Archive, mainly wanting to showcase her cute yet slightly tsundere temperament. In terms of makeup and styling, pink straight long hair paired with a black nun-style veil is the iconic feature of the entire styling. To keep the veil crisp and structured, a lot of effort went into pre-ironing and setting. The top consists of a black jacket paired with an off-the-shoulder white sailor collar; this tailoring can well showcase the collarbone and shoulder lines, while the pink bow at the collar echoes the pink details on the cuffs, plus a wine-red pleated skirt, making the overall color contrast very high. The lower body is paired with white stockings and black small leather shoes. Many fans say that white stockings and small leather shoes are the soul.

The shooting process actually tests body coordination quite a bit. To showcase Koharu's different states, I changed into several poses, such as sitting cross-legged on the desk or crossing legs while sitting on a chair. Especially in Figure 3, I held a comic book as a prop, which made the movements more natural and prevented my hands from looking awkward. The side-sitting look-back in Figure 4 is one of my favorites, which naturally brings out the arc of the skirt hem and the texture of the white stockings. During the shoot, to avoid wardrobe malfunctions with the skirt, I actually wore thick safety shorts underneath and constantly adjusted angles while sitting down and crossing legs. To make the light softer, the photographer used a softbox for direct front lighting while slightly darkening the background, making the main subject stand out more. Although wearing thick base layers and stockings felt a bit stuffy, I was still very happy seeing the final photo results. The character Shimoe Koharu has many cute micro-expressions, and during the shoot, I tried my best to ponder her psychological activities, hoping to convey dynamic emotions in static photos. In post-processing, this set of photos mainly retained the translucent feel of the original images, slightly adjusting skin tone and hair strand textures without over-smoothing, hoping to preserve true skin textures. Actually, shooting such classroom scenes is most difficult in light control; a slight oversight leads to heavy shadows, so the lighting position and reflectors were constantly adjusted on-site. Koharu's outfit looks simple, but because of the off-the-shoulder design, I had to constantly make sure the underwear straps wouldn't show, placing high demands on the range of motion. I wonder what everyone thinks of this classroom scene presentation? Looking forward to trying next time.
