Regarding this set of Shiroko Sunaookami (Color Form) cosplay, during the shoot I was constantly pondering how to express her sense of contradiction in front of the lens.

First, starting with the makeup, to fit the cool and detached characteristics of the "Color" setting, I focused on the layering of the eye makeup. I chose light-colored, blue-grey contact lenses, paired with elongated eyeliner and darkened lower eyeshadow, which creates a gaze with a sense of alienation in front of the camera. The lip color was intentionally a matte nude pink—not flashy, but perfect for stabilizing the overall color balance of the face.

The wig is one of the souls of this look. The silver-white long straight hair on top needed to be smooth enough, yet the bangs had to be slightly messy to create a casual atmosphere. That light blue-green cross hairpin is highly eye-catching amidst the white hair, and its position had to be adjusted repeatedly to ensure it sat right at the golden ratio point on the side of the head without looking out of place. Wearing the plush animal ears required some care; to make them look like they naturally "grew" from my head, I used bobby pins and hairspray to help secure them, letting the stray hairs on the forehead slightly cover the bottom edges of the ears, which makes the final result look very realistic in this silver hair cosplay and animal ears cosplay setup.

For the costume, the black top paired with a narrow choker is a classic minimalist combination. Since the neckline of the clothing features a deep V-cut, the lines of the shoulders and neck become the visual focus when worn. To avoid wardrobe malfunctions and maintain the shape of the clothing, I used double-sided tape to secure both sides of the neckline just above the collarbone. That cyan-green ribbon is the color entry point of this outfit; amidst the pure black and silver-white, this ribbon, combined with the cyan of the hairpin, gives the entire character a unique recognizability.

The shoot environment was in front of a cyan backdrop wall, and this kind of similar-color background heavily tests the lighting. If the direct light source is too flat, the whole person will blend into the background. So, I discussed with the photographer to slightly raise the position of the main light and use a side-frontal light, which effectively outlined my jawline and shoulder/neck contours. With the help of the light reflection from the cyan background, the white wig and black top formed a very cool, high-contrast effect, pushing the texture of the entire frame toward a calm, non-everyday feel of cool-toned photography.

Because it's a side-turning standing pose, the back needs to be straight and the shoulders relaxed and dropped, allowing the lines of the entire body to have a nice sense of extension. In terms of eye control, I didn't intentionally stare into the lens but focused slightly on a point just behind the camera. This way, the gaze automatically carries a slight out-of-focus and detached feel, matching the character's sense of confusion and alienation.

After completing the shoot, I actually gained deeper insights into the understanding and interpretation of this set of photos. The character Shiroko Sunaookami inherently carries a quiet strength, and in her Color state, that quietness adds another layer of anticipation waiting to be answered. As a cosplayer, we are not simply replicating the character's hair color and clothes on the surface, but immersing ourselves into that scenario through expressions and atmosphere. Standing there with a touch of the character's obsession, yet almost in the stance of a bystander.

Every time I cosplay a character that leans toward this cool and atmospheric style, the most touching part of the final photos is often not some exaggerated action, but that unspoken resonance when eyes meet. The shooting process went very smoothly, and the compatibility of the costume and wig was very high. I hope everyone can feel that unique charm I tried my best to recreate in this set of photos.
