The convention photos from this Firefly ACG Expo independent travel photo post have finally been sorted out. Taking advantage of the indoor weekend lighting, the photographer and I shot three different styles of looks inside the exhibition hall.

The set with the white and blue maid outfit used a flying knife special effect. During post-processing and compositing, the perspective and shadows were repeatedly adjusted to make the levitating texture of the knives more realistic, and I'm quite satisfied with the dynamic tension of the poses. The blonde western dress set incorporated a levitating doll and flowing light trail effects. To capture that agile feel, a lot of effort went into swinging the skirt hem and adjusting hand gestures on-site. For the post-processing light effects, the ambient light was intentionally lowered to highlight the elegant flow of blue and white.

The final ancient-style look with light blue hair focused on the trajectory of the silk sash. A high-speed shutter was used during the shoot to capture the exact moment the sheer fabric fluttered, and the rim light was then enhanced in post-processing to make the overall frame look lightweight yet rich in layers. Every time I participate in these independent events, I meet many interesting fellow enthusiasts. Although the overhead lights in the exhibition hall were a bit messy, using a wide aperture for blurring and post-processing color grading actually created a stage-like atmosphere for this Guangzhou Anime Convention.

The post-processing mindset for this set of photos was primarily to keep the skin tone clean while making the costume folds and material textures clearly visible, and the metallic reflections of the props were also treated separately. I hope these attempts at different styles can bring you some inspiration for Cosplay photography, and I'll continue to unlock more interesting themes at the next convention.
