The fireworks of the summer festival are my love letter to the world. To present this heartfelt sentiment filled with warmth, I put a lot of effort into the details of the scene and styling this time. In terms of clothing, the design of this modified Japanese-style short attire is extremely lively, with the orange-red top printed with unique geometric and floral textures. To increase layering, the neckline and cuffs are treated with white ruffles, while the wide blue obi and red thick-woven knot at the waist serve as visual anchors, matched with the white-bottomed, black-bordered ruffled short skirt below, retaining both the charm of traditional elements and a sense of lightness. The wig styling was no small challenge; the light-golden short hair required careful styling to curve outward, and the dark floral bow hair ornament on top of the head was fixed to the optimal position after repeated adjustments to ensure clear visibility even from a high-angle overhead shot. In terms of makeup, the eye makeup was heavily blended with red tones, coordinated with skin brightening, to closely match this energetic atmosphere.

The shooting location was chosen as an indoor venue full of Japanese charm, featuring wooden-framed shoji doors and tatami mats in the background, with an opened folding fan placed beside, creating a strong sense of tranquility on the eve of the summer festival. The core prop of this set is a bamboo raft made by binding multiple bamboo poles side by side. I sat on it barefoot, with a dark pool beneath my feet; the ripples on the water surface and the lighting reflections at the bottom intertwined to form a wonderful cool-toned background, creating a sharp contrast with the warm colors of the costume. During shooting, I intentionally utilized the pink cherry blossom branches in the foreground as occlusion, and the large aperture blur gave the frame an extra layer of hazy framing. This framing composition not only guides the line of sight but also gives the frame more depth.

To better showcase the character's state, we chose a high-angle overhead perspective. This angle not only effectively reveals the layout of the overall environment but also visually elongates the leg lines, making the sitting posture look more natural and relaxed. When stepping barefoot into the water, the detail of the pink nail polish on the toes also subtly echoed the overall color tone. In this scene, I tried to experience the mood of sitting alone by the water's edge enjoying a moment of tranquility before the bustling festival. The focal point of the gaze, the slightly tilted head, and the action of gently stroking the sleeves with hands were all naturally revealed at the exact moment the shutter was pressed. The ripples on the water surface, the texture of the bamboo raft, and even the wrinkles on the clothes—I hope they all become part of the narrative. The refinement of every detail, from the material selection of the costume to the soft processing of lighting, is meant to truly convey that unique memory belonging to summer.
