[Chii cosplay] Chobits: The Moment of Awakening in the Sunny Art Studio

I took this set of photos in the Sunny Art Studio. Loving the quote "My heart came back to life the day I met you," I specifically chose a wooden studio filled with this sunlit ambiance. In the afternoon, natural light poured through the large floor-to-ceiling windows onto the wooden floor—a genuine sense of transparency that is difficult to fully replicate in post-processing.
To fit Chii's character from Chobits, I chose a complete white lace Lolita dress with pink bows at the chest and waist. The layered sheer tulle on the skirt and sleeves created a wonderfully airy feel under backlighting. For my legs, I spent a lot of time picking the white stockings, eventually choosing a style with bows and crisscross mesh patterns; these detailed textures look exceptionally clear under bright direct light.
For the first shot, I sat on a rattan chair with crossed legs, perfectly accentuating the leg lines and structure of the white stockings, gently holding my long blonde hair with a natural gaze toward the lens. The second shot involved interacting with a paintbrush and palette, which made full use of the studio setting while holding props helped me relax significantly. In the third shot, I hugged a large teddy bear, nestling into my skirt for a much quieter, gentler look.
The shoot wasn't easy: the wooden studio was slightly stuffy, and wearing multiple layers of tulle made me sweat quite a bit. I also had to constantly adjust angles so the twin tails and pink ribbons wouldn't look stiff in the backlight. Personally, I feel the lighting control turned out very comfortable—interlacing shadows and white tulle brought out all the depth and layering of the costume. Post-processing was minimal, mainly clarifying the skin tone while preserving the original warm wooden background. This shoot gave me fresh insights into character interpretation: when you pay attention to the natural relationship between gestures and props, the character's personality truly comes alive.
