[Grinning Professor cosplay] Blue Archive Professor Reporting to the White Studio

The final edits for today's Grinning Professor photoshoot are finally done, with the entire session completed in a white studio. To match the character's disposition, I put a lot of effort into the makeup—specially choosing light green contact lenses and deepening the red blush beneath the eyes. Paired with the voluminous golden wavy hair, it took quite a while in front of the mirror to pinpoint that enigmatic, effortlessly composed look. The curls required frequent combing, and I kept applying styling spray between takes to prevent any frizz on camera.

Regarding the outfit, the structured silhouette of the black trench coat is very crisp, layered over a black dress with sailor-style elements. The red bow on the chest acts as the visual centerpiece and signature accent; the striking contrast between crimson and deep black photographs exceptionally well, while the metallic crest in the center enhances its polished intricacy. For the lower half, the black miniskirt reveals a peek of white pleated ruffled lining along the hem, lending rich depth to the silhouette. Paired with opaque black pantyhose and glossy platform leather shoes, it gracefully elongates the legs.

For props, I prepared a black walking cane topped with carved silver accents, along with a vintage black briefcase featuring a gold latch. White studio photography poses a real test of lighting and posing synergy; without environmental ambient lighting to rely on, the composition hinges entirely on how the subject interacts with the props. The photographer, Govcz Little Mage XiYi, provided immense confidence through thoughtful composition and lighting, giving the pure white backdrop a richly dimensional finish.

While posing, I explored various angles: sitting on the floor, leaning sideways on a classroom desk, and resting one foot on a chair. In the desk-sitting shot particularly—one hand resting on the briefcase, the other leaning on the cane, while keeping the lines of my stocking-clad legs relaxed and stretched—finding the center of gravity was tricky; the slightest lapse would make the posture look slouched or cramped. When kneeling on the ground gripping the cane with both hands, I repeatedly tweaked my shoulder tilt and the drape of the skirt to strike that balance between poised elegance and effortless intimidation.

Since people online always call me 'Yellow Peach Kid,' I tried infusing my own touch into the character during the shoot. Beyond maintaining the professor's signature composed presence, I hoped to convey a fresh vibe tinged with subtle deadpan wit. The texture of the black stockings rendered beautifully under the studio key lights, seamlessly tying together the dark leather shoes. From initial light tests to wrap-up, shifting through numerous poses was physically demanding, but seeing how harmoniously the black stockings, trench coat, and cane came together made all the hard work worthwhile. I am thrilled with the final visual presentation and hope this distinctive atmosphere resonates with you all.
