[Takanashi Hoshino cosplay] The Ojisan in Blue Archive: Just Want to Take an Afternoon Nap After Shooting

"Mission accomplished, this Ojisan is heading for an afternoon nap"—this self-deprecating line was the truest reflection of how I felt right after finishing today's photoshoot.

In fact, preparing for this photoset took a lot of effort beforehand. The most eye-catching elements were the pink halo overhead and the wig; to maintain a flawless look in a relatively complex setting like a stairwell, I used multiple layers of hairnets and styling bobby pins inside the wig. Fortunately, the final results still looked lightweight and natural.

For costume coordination, I chose the classic uniform style: a white shirt paired with a turquoise tie, a high-waisted plaid pleated skirt, and black tactical harnesses with waist cinchers. This preserved the crisp coolness of a school uniform while conveying the hardcore aura of a Tactical girl ready for combat. The details of the tie and the chest badge against the pure white shirt created a striking visual contrast. To capture that dashing presence, I spent a long time adjusting the harness strap lengths around the waist, ensuring a sharp and capable front silhouette.

The prop setup this time was definitely the standout highlight, especially the black tactical shield emblazoned with "IRON HORUS", paired with the large firearm in white, black, and red, instantly maxing out the combat aesthetic of the entire look. This gear carried noticeable weight during shooting; when attempting various poses—especially tactical maneuvers like kneeling on one knee while holding the shield and aiming the firearm—I had to carefully control my center of gravity at all times to project true professionalism.

The location on the day of the shoot was a grey-and-white stairwell. The exposed concrete pillars and black metal railings, complemented by bright natural light streaming in from the right, perfectly suited the character's calm and slightly aloof aura. The photographer had fantastic ideas for composition and lighting; paired with our fine-tuned positioning, the final Cosplay photography result achieved a gritty industrial aesthetic while preserving the character's unique youthful charm and agility.

Regarding firearm stances and positioning, we tested numerous different angles during the shoot. As I joked in my post, mishaps like having the gun barrel dig into the ground or holding props awkwardly happened repeatedly, but this trial-and-error process is an integral part of experiencing the character's charm. Furthermore, pairing mid-calf White socks and canvas shoes helped temper the heaviness of the hardcore gear, adding great visual depth to the overall look.

Looking back at this shooting process, although I wrapped up thoroughly exhausted, seeing how these photos turned out brought immense fulfillment.
