This time, I tried out the swimsuit look for my Takanashi Hoshino cosplay. The overall concept of this summer photography session was to capture the unique coolness and comfort of the waterside in summer. The venue was chosen in a meticulously constructed indoor studio that simulated seaside sunlight and palm trees; the lighting was very bright, which perfectly highlighted the overall vivid and bright color scheme. The combination of pink hair and blue eyes looks very photogenic on camera, and paired with the white ruffled camisole top and a bright cyan sun-protection cardigan, it formed a wonderful warm-and-cold contrast visually.

In terms of action design, I didn't intentionally pose in a tense posture, but instead chose to sit on a wooden folding lounge chair with my legs crossed casually, gently propping my chin with a finger to keep my expression as close as possible to the character's slightly drowsy and relaxed feel. Pushing the sunglasses up to the top of my head was also a small detail, which both added to the summer vacation atmosphere and avoided obscuring my facial expressions. The inflatable swim ring, beach volleyball, and transparent water surface reflections added to the frame were all meant to enrich the layers of the image, giving the overall scene a more lifelike quality. To control the reflection effects on the water surface during the shoot, the lighting team also adjusted the angles several times before making the reflections of my feet look natural and translucent.

The material selection for this costume was also quite thoughtful; the fabric of the swimwear part is lightweight with a slight stretch, and the layers of ruffles show excellent three-dimensionality under intense light. The long-sleeved cardigan uses a breathable sun-protection fabric, hanging loosely in the crook of the arm, which beautifully echoes the character's usual casual and lazy daily state. The eye makeup intentionally enhanced the gradient of deep and light blue to make my gaze look brighter. There were actually quite a few minor interludes during the shooting process, such as the wig easily getting messy in the breeze, and needing to be careful against slipping while barefoot on the smooth floor. However, I am quite satisfied with the final finished photos. As an anime recreation project themed around swimsuit cosplay, being able to capture the texture of authentic outdoor sunlight inside a studio felt like a highly joyful experience.
