This time, I shot a set of summer swimsuit style official photos for Elysia Cosplay. The pink wig paired with the elf ear styling looks very refreshing in this hot weather. The swimsuit has many design details—white ruffles, black ribbon bows, and light blue arm sleeves—making the overall color scheme and sense of layering quite nice.

I was looking forward to this swimsuit theme before the shoot, so I specifically chose a studio set with a pool and simulated sand, and prepared some props fitting the summer vibe, like a transparent inflatable swim ring and a light blue water gun. When shooting inside the studio, controlling the light is quite important. The afternoon sunlight filtered through the window, shining on the wig and skin to reflect a soft glow, which is exactly the 'pink and cute' atmospheric feel I wanted.

Since the swimsuit fabric is relatively thin and light, too much movement can easily cause it to shift. Therefore, during the shoot, I mostly used sitting or leaning poses—leaning against a white beach chair or putting my legs in the pool. This not only ensured a natural and relaxed frame but also prevented the outfit from getting too many unnecessary wrinkles, making my overall posture look more graceful and extended.

Regarding the interaction between hands and props, I tried several different actions this time. The shots holding the water gun simulated a dynamic feel of playing with water, while holding onto the inflatable swim ring leaned more toward a still-life close-up vibe. Most of the shooting angles used eye-level or slight high-angle shots, which nicely highlighted the facial features of the Anime girl and the color contrast of the costume. The wig was styled into a low ponytail, and after attaching the elf ears, the silhouette around the sides of my face became fuller, making it more recognizable in front of the camera.

In my opinion, cosplay is not just about simply wearing a character's clothes, but about restoring the essence of that character. This swimsuit look of Elysia focuses primarily on vitality and sweetness, so I deliberately kept my smile light and natural, and instead of staring at a specific spot, my eyes created an illusion of looking outside the lens, casually interacting with the viewer. I didn't over-edit some minor flaws in this photo set, preserving some of the light and shadow textures as well as skin grains, because a sense of reality is far more important for our photography daily life.
