[Xiao Qiao Cosplay] Honor of Kings: Romantic Garden Reunion of Zhou Yu and Xiao Qiao

I previously posted this set of Xiao Qiao and Zhou Yu cosplay photos from Honor of Kings on other platforms, but suddenly realized I hadn't shared them here, so I'm organizing and posting them now. We chose an outdoor traditional garden for this on-location shoot primarily to match the characters' setting. I cosplayed Xiao Qiao this time; the outfit carries the texture of a bridal gown, predominantly white with intricate ruffled frills along the skirt hem, accented by a yellow bouquet in hand. The crown headpiece and sheer veil displayed great texture under natural lighting. There are cyan-blue flying bird tattoo stickers on my arms peeking out past the edges of the long white gloves, which, combined with the White stockings, creates a cohesive color scheme. Zhou Yu's costume featured a white cape with black-and-gold armor insignia; his white hair looked wonderfully textured under the sun, and the cape's drape resonated perfectly with my white dress.

The shoot did come with some challenges: because the puffy skirt made walking somewhat cumbersome, I had to constantly lift the hem while moving up and down the steps to adjust my position. My partner, Jianfeng, took great care of me. We incorporated many interactive details during the shoot—such as the pose on the white bench where he rests his chin on his hand while I look up, or on the steps where he reaches out to take my hand. These were designed to faithfully recreate the chemistry of a Duo cosplay in frame. Such interactions really test the rapport between partners, requiring repeated adjustments of eye contact and angles; fortunately, under photographer Letian's guidance, the results turned out very natural. The makeup was done by Yingzi, whose clean foundation and eye makeup suited this white-themed palette perfectly.

The white garden corridors and pavilions served as backdrops, cleanly accentuating the subjects thanks to the soft background blur. In addition to our couple shots, there were solo shots of me in the pavilion, where side lighting accentuated the layered texture of the skirt hem. The weather on the day of the shoot was sunny with clear, translucent light, and the photographer made great use of foreground greenery to add depth of field. Moving around outdoors in this full attire was quite tiring—especially since the white dress and White stockings easily caught grass clippings—but thankfully the final photos turned out great. This set truly allowed us to experience the unique chemistry and atmospheric charm between these characters.
