For this Honor of Kings Xiao Qiao and Line Dog crossover shoot, the overall concept was crafted around a sweet, comforting atmosphere. To bring out the character's lively spirit, I deliberately selected a fluffy, textured teal-green wig paired with fuzzy white animal ears. For hair accessories, yellow rectangular barrettes, petite cross-shaped hair clips, and pearl accents were used to enrich the overall layering with cute, playful details. Wardrobe-wise, the sleeves of the white knit sweater feature patchwork star elements in blue and yellow, coordinated with a bright yellow long knit scarf and a blue pleated skirt to form vivid color contrast and harmony. To heighten the lively visual effect, I specifically chose a blue square throw pillow printed with cartoon puppies and lettering, alongside brown teddy bears in varied sizes as key interactive props, which cleanly anchored visual focus against the solid white backdrop.
The illumination on the day of the shoot was exceptionally crisp and luminous. Photographer Z made numerous detailed adjustments to the lighting, ensuring both color saturation and transitional gradients between light and shadow appeared wonderfully natural. Much thought went into the poses: sitting on the floor hugging a giant bear required projecting an effortless, relaxed state through the lens, whereas standing with one foot extended forward while arms stretched outward captured balance within dynamic motion. A pure white background truly tests physical expressiveness; to keep the frames from feeling empty, beyond standard standing and sitting postures, I incorporated subtle gestures like holding out a mini bear toward the lens with both hands or gently tapping a fingertip against my cheek to deepen the narrative.
Regarding the post-production doodles, the Line Dog elements served as the core of the crossover, so black-and-white hand-drawn teddy bears, puppies with hearts, and cartoon figures holding balloons and cotton candy were doodled around the frame margins, accented with macaron-toned color fills. These doodled elements not only echoed the theme but also filled background negative space, turning the entire photo set into a vibrant, scrapbook-like visual journal. Style-wise, it's worth highlighting the white knit over-the-knee Stockings adorned with blue-and-pink star bows, which completed the Stockings styling and visually elongated leg lines. Paired with plush flat slippers, the cozy, gentle texture remained remarkably cohesive.
'Hope and miracles do exist' perfectly fits Xiao Qiao's lore in the game while embodying the gentle warmth this crossover sought to deliver. Through the star embellishments, the yellow scarf, and diverse plush props, I wanted to share visuals filled with hope and soothing comfort. Though the shoot demanded nonstop adjustments to posture and clothing, seeing the sweet, soft ambiance woven from these colors in the final photos made all the preparation worthwhile.
