[Hanayo Koizumi cosplay ] Sweet Studio Shoot in Love Live! µ's Maid Stage Costume

Today's look is Hanayo Koizumi's maid stage costume from Love Live! µ's, taking it straight into the photography studio. This outfit is packed with intricate details: the classic black-and-white palette combined with generous white lace creates a visual harmony that is both obediently sweet like a maid uniform and dazzling like a 2D idol performance dress. The vibrant orange bows at the neckline and waistline serve as the visual centerpieces, while the golden 'Lis' sequins and cross emblems adorning the flared hem caught the studio lights with sparkling brilliance.

To faithfully channel Hanayo Koizumi's energetic yet tender and adorable charm, I invested considerable time into hair and makeup. The wig was cut into a pale golden short bob with gentle inward curls that flatter the face shape. The base makeup was kept translucent, shifting the primary focus onto the eyes: wearing purplish-pink contact lenses paired with soft pink gradient eyeshadow, and finishing with natural false eyelashes to maintain her warm approachability without appearing overly dramatic. Soft blush was swept high across the apples of the cheeks to enhance youthful innocence.

The set was styled in full pink tones, featuring massive heart-shaped balloons and Japanese typography backdrop panels alongside heart balloons scattered across the floor. To complement this styling, the photographer suggested incorporating dynamic dance-inspired poses. For the first shot, I began with a gentle hand-to-cheek pose with relaxed shoulders and a direct gaze into the lens; the second captured a two-handed heart formed above the head with a playful body tilt. The subsequent shots focused on showcasing the flared skirt and White over-the-knee socks, capturing poses like lifting one leg with hands clasped over the chest, or freezing with arms joyfully outstretched.

Thanks to regular dance practice, maintaining physical stability and balance came naturally. The tiers of lace ruffles along the hem flare out organically whenever I spin or shift, which, alongside the White over-the-knee socks and orange ankle bows, creates an exceptionally lively visual rhythm. Metal chains accent the shoes, adding slight weight while keeping my footing grounded during movements.

Throughout the session, I continuously adjusted my expressions to avoid feeling static. Even in still photography, synchronizing gaze and delicate hand movements is essential for projecting character personality. This maid stage costume is not only gorgeous to look at, but also offers ample expressive freedom for dynamic staging. The studio lighting was wonderfully diffused today, casting a natural pink ambient glow across my complexion without requiring heavy color grading in post. The entire shoot went smoothly, flawlessly delivering that sweet, bubbly energy I had envisioned for this 2D idol. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for Hanayo's stage presence, and I look forward to exploring even more diverse styling challenges in the future.
