This issue of Arknights Suzuran photos was shot on a spring outdoor boardwalk with the mountain covered in blossoms. To fit her fox immortal setting, we specifically looked for camera angles amidst the dense pink flower branches.
In terms of prop details, the red and green color-blocked waistband on the white shrine maiden outfit highly accentuates the sense of layering. Paired with the pants-style black hem and white apron, it has both Operator Suzuran's own capability and preserves the elegance of the shrine maiden outfit. The nine tails are a lightweight structure that I specially customized, so that walking outdoors for a long time won't cause me to slouch due to the heavy load. The wooden staff in my hand features red knot decorations, fitting very comfortably in my hand, and paired with that red umbrella, it forms an excellent color balance point in the frame.
Because the physical props of the tails are quite huge and eye-catching, when we were shooting on the rocky mountain boardwalk, it attracted the attention of quite a few tourists. Especially parents with children, they would all stop in their tracks and exclaim, "It's really a Nine-tailed fox!" Although I was a bit shy, it proved from another perspective that this look's accuracy is indeed high enough. Photographer @云间glow is highly skilled at capturing this kind of Japanese style scene, using a large aperture to blur the fragmented flower branches in front of me into pink, dreamy patches of color, while cleverly avoiding the cluttered crowds, letting the overall frame present a very clean and translucent texture.
The shooting time was actually quite tight because the wind on the mountain was strong, and I had to constantly guard against the wig and ears being messed up by the wind. However, this kind of natural light, shadow, and the sea of flowers covering the mountains are genuinely great for photos. As an Arknights player, I like the character Suzuran very much, so being able to bring her to reality through cosplay, watching the wind sweep across the skirt hem and the tail adorned with flower petals, makes me feel that everything was completely worth it. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to see a side of her different from the in-game character art, and also feel the spring atmosphere.
