[Seed cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero BW 2026 convention site, blue-cyan short hair techwear outfit

Today in the exhibition hall of BW 2026, I sat in front of the lens in the styling of Seed from Zenless Zone Zero. This makeup and styling truly took a lot of thought from the fitting to the official shoot. The blue-cyan short hair is the visual core; to make the wig present a fluffy and layered effect, quite a bit of hair wax and spray were used in trimming and styling. The black flower-shaped hair accessory on the left temple was also repeatedly micro-adjusted in front of the mirror to ensure it naturally blended into the gaps of the hair when shot from the side.

In terms of clothing, this white, grey, and yellow techwear design has extremely complex details. The slightly transparent and reflective material of the top gives a lightweight yet form-fitting feeling when worn. The halterneck design combined with the black choker on the neck actually puts a certain amount of pressure on the shoulders and cervical spine when walking around the convention all day. That golden clover-shaped metal decoration on the chest has significant weight, and a noticeable downward pull can be felt when it hangs there. The detachable sleeves and black straps on the arms, as well as the metal buckles on the trouser legs, were repeatedly checked for tightness during wearing, ensuring that limb movement was not restricted while avoiding excess wrinkles that would affect the frame.

In the photos, I am sitting barefoot on the carpet. The cutout design of the trouser legs and the straps on the instep are part of this outfit, and because the feet need to be exposed, foot care details were specially done before the shoot. Even though the venue floor was covered with a carpet, it still felt a bit hard when stepped on. The long-handled prop looked cool in hand, but the structure of the bottom combined with the long handle actually made it quite heavy. When adjusting the sitting posture, I also had to balance core strength and the stability of the prop.

The photographer was extremely professional in composition and guidance. For the first picture, I placed my hands crossed on top of my feet, and he told me to relax my facial muscles and face the lens naturally. For the second picture, he suggested changing to a more stretched posture, extending one leg forward with the sole facing the lens direction. This posture not only visually elongated the leg lines but also presented a more casual and relaxed state. Coupled with the low-angle shooting position, the proportions of the entire frame were exceptionally good. In terms of makeup, bright blue contact lenses paired with eyeshadow blending made the eyes look very spirited under the venue's overhead lights, and the translucent makeup better complemented the cool tones of the wig.

The lighting environment at the convention site was relatively complex, with numerous and cluttered overhead lights. During the shoot, we tried to choose positions with good background blur and where the main light source could illuminate the face, which not only made the skin tone look more translucent but also perfectly displayed the textures of the metal and semi-transparent materials on the clothes. When cosplaying a character with so many clothing accessories, individual pieces easily shift when walking, so the frequency of touch-ups and wig organization was very high. Shuttle-cocking through the halls of BW and nodding and greeting fellow fans passing by, although physically exhausted, looking at the final presentation of this styling in the lens made it feel totally worth it. I took a lot of photos today and picked out the two I like the most to share; I hope you can also feel this unique visual effect of techwear paired with blue-cyan short hair.
