This time, from the outfit to the tail and the weapon for Shark Girl Ellen Joe, every single prop was made by tweaking the details bit by bit myself. The fabric for the maid outfit styling took a long time to choose; it needed to be crisp enough to hold the pleats yet convenient to move around in, so I finally used a rather thick blended fabric. The spikes on the headpiece were 3D printed, sanded down, and colored. The grid lines on the apron don't use stickers; instead, they are hand-sewn white dashed lines—a true delight for detail-oriented minds.

The tail is the heaviest part of the entire look. To maintain the segmented feel and sturdy visual effect of the shark tail, the inside uses EVA foam boards plus a steel bar skeleton, covered with leather on the outside. Although I have to control my center of gravity while walking, striking that arrogant, rebellious posture feels incredibly right. The silver jagged bracers on the wrists are also made of lightweight materials, with metallic paint sprayed on the surface, making the actual item have much more texture than in the photos.

The weapon is heavier in hand than I expected. Because I wanted to restore that mechanical and hefty feel from the game, I intentionally filled the interior with counterweights to make the weapon-holding posture more natural. The lighting in the pure white studio on the day of the shoot was very clean, perfectly capturing the black-and-white color scheme and the metallic luster. I tried both the sitting pose on a round stool and the standing pose holding the weapon. In the final selected photos, that nonchalant yet slightly tsundere gaze is my most satisfying state.

For cosplay, the happiest thing is being able to bring a beloved character from the screen into reality. Every accessory goes through repeated adjustments, and putting them on at last truly brings a huge sense of accomplishment. The shoot went very smoothly this time, and the photographer caught many precise moments during this cosplay photography session. I might add some dynamic scenes in the future—after all, Shark Girl cosplay's combat movements are genuinely badass.
